well, i am a fan of Cruxshadows (german/american techno goth band) and i have seen their yearly gigs they do here in the UK since 2004 and i have never witnessed a band put on a better show. Their dancers, Jess and Sarah, are absolutely amazing, their violinist, Rachel is soooooo sexy and so talented on that violin and Rogue, the vocalist, loves his fans more than anything and he will often join the crowd during his shows to sing and dance amongst them. And the best bit? When they play Marylin, My Bitterness at the very end of their show and they get as many people from the crowd up on their stage as humanly possible without us all feeling like cyber rave sardines  And afterwards? He'll hang out amongst the fans, giving autograohs and hugs and just general conversation.

I dont think anyone could do it better ^.^

usually the last one i went to was the best...the best music was zappa plays zappa in manchester, but the best atmosphere was the polyphonic spree doing a pre-glastonbury warm up between there first two albums in a dive in Coventry.

Best Concert ever was a Moody Blues concert in the open air venue in northwest burbs of Chicago in the early 80s. they were older but still very youthful and they did all of their terrifically long songs in spectacular fashion.  i was their with a date, we had a great romantic time, the weather was sweet for a summer day in august--just perfect.

So much free stuff, so many bands, so many people...  warped tour is simpley the best.....

Best concert Ive been to but not played?  Bad religion in albequrkee<sp?> It was at the sunsett theator and we were the only 8 people in the balcony... but the sound was awsome and Bad Religion kept picking on the croud and pit cuz "Those old guys in the balcony are louder than all of you... what gives?"  and they would play our requests  :D

I've seen so many great concerts over the years.  Heart when Ann and Nancy were young and thin, Boston on tour for their first album, Beach Boys when they were all still alive.  Johnny Cash with June Carter and the Carter Family along with Carl Perkins and the Tennessee Three and the Statler Brothers.
Elton John,  Mamas and Poppas, The Kingston Trio.  But I guess if I had to pick one it would be:

Eagles - Hell Freezes Over Tour

No opening act.  The stage was dark, strobes were firing in cloth hanging above the stage making it look like lightening in clouds followed by thunder over the PA system.  This goes on for about 10 minutes and then, with the stage still dark, the intro to Hotel California begins and goes for about 5 minutes until it reaches the 3 drum beats that transition from the intro into the song.  On the third drum beat, the stage lights came up and the band went directly into Hotel California.  20,000 people went nuts and the concert just got better from there!
