I've started on Estradiol Velarate 3 days ago, intramusclar injection under a doctor supervision. He check my blood pressure and my heartbeat before giving me the injection and said I am OK.
My heartbeat seems to go a bit faster than usual after the injection. I think I am having a palpitation. Why is that? Is it normal? it is my 3rd day after the injection, and the heartbeat already return to a normal state. I am going back to the doc next monday.
this is actually my 2nd injection. I didnt have this condition on the first injection.
Could have been nerves or a needle hit on a lesser nerve end. I don't think you should be worried too much about it, but still bring it up to him. Did you have any indications of an allergic reaction such as flushing, hives, rash, breathing issue's of any kind (wheezes, coughing)?
Might simply be needle phobia since it only happens after an injection.

+1. Estrogen levels don't reach blood this fast intramuscularly and even if they did (intravenous, for example or sublingual), it tends to dilate blood vessels, reduce palpitations and reduce blood pressure. As always, advise your doctor and see what he says.
