Ok, I said I would post a picture of me in my bikini, so here it is. What do you think?

I think you look great Melissa.

Looking good Melissa,
I am so glad you are happy.

Looking Good. Like the legs. They have that that - I don't know what to call it, but my legs never had it. The um shape, I guess. Mine were always straight tree stumps with huge muscular calves. Not too attractive in a skirt. lol
You look great. I never looked that good in a bikini, even when I was still trying to act like a girl. :)
I think you look great.
What's very interesting is your female "carrying angle" of the knees.
Look at a genetic girl and you'll see that their legs come in from the hips to a slight angle at the knees and then drop straight to the feet....the same with the arms.
The natal woman also has elbows that are slightly turned to pass by the flair of the hips.
A very good friend had that corrected in his changeover...he had a major accident that left two legs and one arm broken and he had them set in the more female angle. (I'll tell you all about Loni someday.)
In a skeleton, the first thing a scientist looks for is the female carrying angle..it's real and it's one of the first noticeable differences from a male skeleton.
Pelvic flare and occipital ridges are all secondary indicators.
Even now, knee replacement therapy has indicated that there are some differences in male-female knees..so much so that there is a new line of knee replacements just for women. Besides being less wide, they are also at a slight angle.
Many less-than-good outcomes on the knees have turned that way from using a common, slightly generic knee for the replacement. Since the newest changes, the surgery goes much better with less pain and a better long term result.
I worked as a biomedical tech for many years in a major LA hospital.
BTW: women have the same number of ribs as men...that's just an old wives' tale.
Hey Melissa,
Makes me want to grab and tickle! ;)
I think you and I have matching suits. OMG
Well almost.
BTW, that clear tape works really well. I've found that Gojo gets the residue right off. Looks like you'll need some mighty soon.
As always, you're the hot chick.

Thanks, I like my legs. :) That's one reason I like wearing skirts.

Thanks for noticing. :) That's exactly what I've been saying in my IS threads about having a female skeleton. I don't get it, it's just always been like that--no surgery or anything. ???

You might want to be careful about Rashelle. She's quite possessive of me and was the one taking the picture.

Thank you. Yes, I'm using the tape in that picture. I'll have to see if I can find some Gojo. Thanks for the tip. :)

LOL ;D I didn't even know we were competing. I didn't need to modify my bikini, I just used the tape method I described in Kristi's odyssey story post. That way, no changes will be necessary after surgery. Oh, and yes I did go swimming in public right after taking that pic.
lovely, goodjob!
Looking good! :)
Jas beat me to it, you're looking GOOD, Melissa!

You look very happy Melissa. Enjoy the summer.
I'm going to play 'devil's advocate'. I think there are very, very few women over the age of 30 who look attractive in bikinis (and many under 30 who don't look good in them). Most look a LOT better (and hotter) in a well fitting one piece or a tanktini and bottom. I think there are very few women who look good in patterned swimsuits... solids tend to look much better on most people unless you've got a teen's body.
I know a lot of transwomen see wearing a bikini as an important right of passage... something they've fantasized about. Maybe, if that's an important dream, transitioners should get their bikini and enjoy their first summer dressed the way they've always wanted. After that, I wish women (trans and otherwise) would dress in ways that best flatter their bodies and show them off to greatest advantage.
curmudgeonly yours,
Gina M.
LoL I'm not sure age is the best marker. There are mature women who look great in bikinis. I think it depends on the woman's body rather than age. After my stroll through the gallery, I sure wouldn't object to seeing my favorite harpy in a bikini. Preferably a thong. >:D
Oh well, time to post
my bikini picture, I guess. >:D

and here was me thinking the pelvic bone shape was entirely different from my foresic anatomy and physiology studdies, not only flare, but a male and female pelvis are completely different, and that this amongst hight and shape differences was the main indicators of sex in a skeleton not how the bones are positioned, as more often than not, bones are disturbed...

Well, it could be "your" bikini picture, just get 700cc implants like she has.
Hey Melissa, love the pic hon and I can honestly say that you look fab !! ;)

xx
You really look like one of my old neighbors.
A lot.
Thanks for all the positive comments so far.
I've lost even more weight since I took that picture. After standing up straight next to doorframe and having somebody make sure I was standing straight, I had about a 1/2" difference between my shoulders and my hips. Now I just need some fat on my hips and I'll be set. :)

You have alot more courage than I do, albeit I dont think I could pull off a bikini, I still have a thing for shiny one-pieces. You look great though, BIG SMILES! ;D
Like the pic, Melissa. You look happy and well.......I can only dream that some day I look like that. 8)

My Dear, You look Marvelous.

nice bikini!
You look absolutely terrific.
