Title: Hip pain
Post by: Debussy on April 25, 2014, 12:40:58 PM
So just this past week I noticed 2 things:
My hip bones on the sides of my abdomen are sticking out way farther now, like 2 knobs.

Also, my left hip is hurting a lot when I walk, around the socket area.

I know I've heard some people talking about the hips rotating some direction, is this what is happening? I just reached 5 months HRT.

thanks!

I'd say it could be. My posture definitely seems a lot different at the 1.3-year point, and I wouldn't doubt the hips are involved.

The nature of your musculature might be changing and some things previously held firmly in place could be coming a bit loose. If that's the case it should stabilise, but really I'd suggest talking to a doctor ASAP just to be on the safe side, especially if the pain is strong and sharp.

It can, my hips rolled forward alittle bit and did widen, you just gotta adjust to the new way your walking, and posture, it all factors in, my left hip (I sleep on that side) hurt real bad till i could afford a mattress (yes I slept on the floor for years) Cause as my hips expanded (only slightly, maybe 1 1/2)  it made sleeping uncomfy. It just takes alil time to adjust to and then it will stop hurting. hopefully. Hope my experiences help.

I've had a lot of hip pain recently,I put a lot of weight on my right leg for 30 years after a bike accident when I hurt my left knee.I got celulitis in my right leg and have to use a stick a lot of the time.If I sleep on my right side it seems to push my hip in and really hurts

Your hips don't "roll forward" that is one of the most overdramatic HRT changes I have ever heard. Not only is it not possible but it would be extremely painful and would ruin the whole entire lining of your entire skeletal structure.
