IF your HRT course changed can you chime in on what you experienced?
If you stopped estrogen but continued on anti androgens did your development flatten out at all?
Actually even if you hold your dosage steady, they will change, esp. the nipple/areola area depending on where they are in their growth/rest cycle (they alternate) and your hydration. It's amusing to see one kind of puffy at first, poke it, and watch it retract.
I *think* once there's glandular development, it doesn't go away (if it did, trans men wouldn't need top surgery). Fat redistribution might change with a significant enough period of time.
I went off E for 3 weeks pre-surgery, and didn't notice any real change in actual development, but my boobs did seem less perky somehow. I think it's the growth cycle; mine seemed to get perky for a bit, then soften and flatten out as fat was layered on, then repeat. So I'm purely guessing, but taking away E during a "perky" phase might make them stop growing and look a bit softer and droopier.
No long-term effects, thank goodness. I am even still growing at 2 years post-op.
I was on full dose HRT for 4 months last year. I had A cup breasts and well developed nipples. Dropped the E, and in 2 weeks my nipples were almost completely back to male size. Dropped the AA and I was almost completely flat chested.
Abby thanks for sharing your experience. I want to reach a point in my transition that goes just a little beyond breast budding and then wean myself off the E. Say after another 2 months. The idea, hopefully, for the buds to retract a little and be flat as possible. You know the androgyny thing. I'll be continuing with AA's and see how I feel from there.
God I sound like a freak. LoL!
It all just seems weird. Having footing inside both the cis world and trans world.
That's nothing. Sit in on a conversation cis-women have about their periods or when they compare gyno doc checkups. THAT is weirld! hehe
