Just a note, Cammie and Chun-Li are actually Capcom characters from the Street Fighter Series.
Anyways, I enjoy the RE series, mostly RE 5 cause Chris Redfield. Plus the Fable series (2 and 3 are faves cause of well Reaver)
Let's also remember other zombie FPS games meaning Left 4 Dead and its sequel. I can play those all day long. (Elis is my fave there)
oh yes .. those 2 girls are from Capcom hahaha .. i was supposed to type Marvel VS Capcom game, i was a bit sleepy when i made the thread :p .. thanks !
i never play left4dead .. but saw some vids on youtube, looked great ! :)
Since you like the RE series, you'll like L4D and L4D2. It's better than the RE series where all the zombies are in the same place, no matter what level you play at. (beginner to professional)
My fave games (for PS1, PS2...I use a PS2...screw those newer systems): Monopoly (The Shoe!! FTW), PGA Tour 98, GTA (s), 1, London 1969, 2, 3, Liberty City Stories, Vice City.
cool Laura ! ;)
Marcus, thanks I will find one to play and will let you know , cheers ! :D
My favorites are
Zelda: a link to the past
Zelda: ocarina of time
Zelda: wind waker
Final fantasy 4, 6, 8, 10, 10-2
Resident evil 2 & 4
Fable series
Bioshock 1 & infinite
Halo 3 & 4
Metroid fusion & metroid prime
Fallout 3
Gta vice ->-bleeped-<-ing city and 5
Golden sun
Fire emblem: awakening
Portal
ITG and DDR
I was a fan of the Resident Evil series, until RE6 and Operation Raccoon City which were just... yeah. Not gonna get started on the state of that franchise. The first four games were awesome though.
As far as my favourites, I guess that would have to go by the amount of time I've spent on them. Which, in order of most played go something like:
Skyrim
Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call
Final Fantasy X
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army
Final Fantasy VIII
Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (1&2)
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Final Fantasy VII
Secret of Mana
Monster Hunter
There are loads more which I like, but too many to list. Although special mention goes out to Silent Hill 3. That's my favourite of the franchise, even though almost everyone maintains the second one is the best, and one I beat an unhealthy amount of times to get all the extra stuff.
Pokemon (especially the older ones, i started with the original Gold, i'd love to play HeartGold one day but it's expensive and in this backwater town you won't find a new copy, otherwise i like living in a quiet area with not a lot going on)
The Elder Scrolls
Fallout
KOTOR
Super Mario (most installments)
Metroid 2 & Super Metroid
Minecraft
Edna & Harvey (both installments)
Monopoly (but only as the real boardgame version, not a video game version of it)
Team Fortress 2
Orcs Must Die! 2
Gothic/Risen (they're kind of one series for me)
Left 4 Dead 2 (with my best friend, lots of laughs guaranteed)
Monkey Island (except for the 4th installment)
Sam N Max
Day Of The Tentacle
most LEGO games
Indiana Jones (Point N Click games by LucasArts)
Torchlight (both installments)
Grim Fandango
Neverwinter Nights
Demon's Souls
Final Fantasy 6, 7 and 8
Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 and 5
Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3
Silent Hill 1 and 2
Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
GTA: Vice City
The Last Express
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Champions of Norrath
PES games
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Can't think of any others right now...
Well my favorite game is probably obvious, lol. I love the Final Fantasy series in general, but especially 6-10. They are just amazing and pretty much at the top of my list. I could go on forever, so I will shut up about it to spare you all. Just remember that Final Fantasy 8 is the greatest thing to happen to this planet. I will find you and make you pay if you disagree. >:-)
Other games:
Dragon Quest 8- It's just such a fun adventure with great music and story telling.
Castlevania Symphony of the night- I love the Gothic feel, the atmosphere and the music.
Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen and Soul Reaver Series (excluding blood omen 2)- The voice acting is amazing, great character development, and one of my favorite stories in Videogame history. Sadly it was butchered by the second blood omen and never given a proper finale
Silent Hill 2- Everything about it makes it amazing.
Resident Evil Code Veronica. How could no one mention this one? Nemesis is right behind it though.
Parasite Eve one and two. Squaresoft, nuff said.
Chronos Trigger and Cross. Read the above, lol.
Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask. Just amazing games, except for the annoying save system.
Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Wasted too much time on this one, but it's great. Haven't played Skyrim yet.
Sadly there are many more games and I've wasted much of my life with this stuff; however, I really stopped gaming for a good portion of my twenties. Looking forward to soon playing the Demon soul series, dragon age series, and skyrim, all of which I own yet haven't even opened. While I wait to hear about my job status and am off for another month, I may as well kill time with gaming and get back into it.

Is that the one where the princess gets turned into a horse? Or am I thinking of something else?

Yep, lol. It has a very cartoony feel, but it also has serious overtones and a great story. One of the most overlooked rpg's in my opinion.

I remember playing that on my PS2 and really liking it. It had a very touching story, from what I remember. :)
Also, Kudos on Parasite Eve. Great call. I totally forgot about that but number 2 took up an inordinate amount of my gaming time. Especially to get the Gunblade. Loved the atmosphere in it. Did you ever play 3rd Birthday? If not... don't. If you did... here's a hug. *huggles*

No, I avoided 3rd Birthday because of all the bad press, lol. I guess it was as bad as they said. Still the originals were great.

me and my best friend were obsessed with that game, but then again i was trying to cope with my parents divorce, so maybe it kept me in check a bit.

Oblivion.
Finished it several times using different races each time. Same with Skyrim. Morrowind is quite time-consuming but also good.

I had two characters, though I only completed everything with one of them. The other was my through caution to the wind character so I could see what things would be like if I took different actions. Yeah, it's a very addicting game and took up a lot of time. One of the only modern games that I dedicated so much time over. I'm looking forward to Skyrim, but I've been waiting to play it when I had time. Now, that it's a plenty at the moment, I'll be sure to check it out. sometime soon.
By the way, are the skyrim expansions worth getting? I have the original game unopened, so I may just get the complete version instead if that's possible.

yes. They're more than your typical DLC, but not as long as some other expansions, but for the price they're definitely worth it. They were worth it when they came out.
Dawnguard is a thrilling questline centering around a "family" of vampires and an organization of vampire hunters
Hearthfire allows you to adopt children and to built your own house (not as freely as in Minecraft, but very nice nonetheless) and adds several other features.
Dragonborn sends you back to Solstheim, the main location of the second Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon, nice but a bit short, but as a package deal in the Legendary Edition? Hell yes! This one is quite Lovecraft-influenced

I agree, totally worth it; they add fun and interesting gameplay plus lots of cool weapons and armor. I like that they give you new avenues to explore if you are into the character creation aspect of it. With previous Elder Scrolls games I only every played the one character but with Skyrim I am up to 9, each with their own unique experience, personality and rich backstory in my head :D
Skyrim is definitely #1 for me.
Also (in no particular order):
Morrowind
Oblivion
Fallout 3
Spore
From Dust
Minecraft
Assassins Creed
Mass Effect 2 & 3
The Total War Series
Age of Empires
Civilization
my Skyrim characters were the most fleshed-out (in my mind), so i played them more like people than in other RPGs.

IMO, they're only worth getting if you plan on modding the game, since by themselves... yeah, I'm not extremely impressed by any of the DLC. Other than maybe Hearthfire. That's pretty cool. I still haven't finished Dragonborn because Solstheim kinda depresses me (I never played Morrowind, which is supposedly the ultimate awesomeness in terms of Elder Scrolls). Serana is a pretty cool character from Dawnguard, but that whole DLC feels like more of a timesink than an actual interesting story (just my opinion after playing both sides of it).
However, the DLC's aren't really standalone with Skyrim. They all add extra features into the base game. Even if you don't do the DLC's themselves. Random vampire attacks are annoying as hell, but you can mod them out. A lot of mods require all the DLC's present to work properly though. Not sure if that's something you want to get into, but if so then it's something to think about.
It's worth getting the Legendary Edition (game + all DLC's) if you can, since that has everything and is a good base to start from if you want to venture into modding (which is likely where a good deal of your enjoyment will come from if you're playing it on the PC). It recently got a price drop in the UK, although I'm not sure if that also happened in the US.
That being said, you may well enjoy the DLC's immensely. In which case... there's only one way to find out. :)
I saw Skyriim on youtube, looks great ! :)
am thinking about .. maybe gonna buy the last of us as well , got good review too ..
I also enjoy playing Tomb Raider ,Lara is amazing ! love the graphics ;D i wanna be fierce just like her in real life lol

I've been gaming sice the 70's so I can't list all my fave games, hard to remember them all.
Pitfall 2 on Atari - This game was huge and being an Indiana Jones fanatic I loved it.
Elite - c64 To this day one of the greatest sima ever made, how they fitted a living universe in 64k no one will ever know.
Paradroid - c64 Posess other robots slowly but surely, or take a chance at something out of your league? best music ever?
Delta - c64 Ok best music ever.
Stunt Car Racer - Amiga I really wish they would make a modern version of this.
Mario 64 and Mario kart 64 - Amazing games, the Wii U version of Mario was just as good, lets hope mk8 is too.
FF7 - Cause it was FF7
Grand Theft Auto series, I really like driving random cars around a city.
World Of Warcraft - actually had near 400 days played before the first expansion, had to quit.
Link between worlds - 3ds The first Zelda game I actually beat, couldn't put it down.
Lately I play Warframe on PC mostly. Really enjoyed the new tomb raider. I play ultra nerdy racing simulators with a wheel also.
One of my favorite game series is "Tales of". I loved Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss the most. I think the stories in them were some of my favorite ever. In fact, I always name my female characters on other RPGs after Mystearica (Tear) from Abyss.
