I think I may have asked this before, or a similar question, and I apologize if I have. Anyway, my arms aren't really huge at all, sometimes they can be down right thin, but I have pretty big hands. Now, my hands don't look bad always, but they masculinze ten fold when my veins buldge, which is all the time. My forearms occasionally too, but to a lesser extent.
I know hrt can reduce the apperence of veins and I'm hoping it does, but can anyone provide some input. I think I've read before that you can pretty much have your hand veins disintegrated (not really, but basically) through some sort of something. Has anyone had any success with reducing very large and prominent hand/forearm veins w hrt or through some other means? Would fat transfers to the back of hands help reduce them?
I almost don't mind my huge knobby hands when there smooth and vein free, which isn't often. I keep bringing them up and sooner or later I should post a good pic of them. They may be my prime source of dysphoria, with the size and veins.
-thanks everyone-
Actually I think that Aldactone (spiro) helps increases the visibility of the superficial blood vessels? Sorry but you can't get rid of them. They developed while you were highly active and had high T and growth hormone levels. Losing a lot of weight actually will make them more pronounced. It's a sign of aging. But if it makes you feel better even cis women exhibit them. Here is Meg Ryan:

Those are pretty wicked, honestly don't know if mine are as bad tbh, but probably close sometimes. I actually won't be losing weight but putting it on, so hopefully that will help along with the thickening of my fat layers. I thought I'd read about a couple ways to sort of make them sink, not get rid of them, but prevent them from bulging as much. Something about a saline solution injection or some sort of laser treatment.
That is for varicose veins (ones that show up as fine dark lines under the skin), not the same as bulging veins and arteries (which are the main blood vessels that you can't do without).
I know those are for varicose veins primarily, I just thought, almost positive, that I read of someone on a forum somewhere saying they had there veins collapsed via saline solution, but that it hurt like hell. I could be wrong though. I know you can't live without them, considering it would deplete blood flow to the hands, I'd just like them to not be as prominent as they are now. My forearms are thin but all muscle, very hard when flexed, so hopefully those will go down w some muscle softening and the veins there won't be as apt to show. It really my hand veins that piss me off though. Has anyone had fat transfers to cover them? I know women sometimes get hand rejuvenation done and it seems that it can cover the veins a bit...
Isn't the bulging related to blood pressure and/or body temperature? If Spiro does reduce the appearance of veins that would make some sense since it lowers blood pressure. Anyway that's just a guess.
Thanks Grace, I hope your right. I've read mtf hrt effects and one listed often is less prominent veins and I've read others say it has reduced them. I'm hoping that either t reduction or the huge increase in estrogen will do something. They don't always buldge, but when they do it's noticeable, I'm abnormally athletic even for a man. I'm just hoping in the event I start hrt and see no difference at all that I can mask them a bit somehow...
HRT totally reduced them for me, I was muscular and veiny in my hands and forearms and the effects of HRT made my arms smooth and hands vein free. I am nearly transparent in my skin tone, so I really showed my veins early one. Adding a little weight helps too, you lose that cut look when HRT starts softening your skin via more subcutaneous fat.
