Hi ^^
I had a few sessions with IPL but it wasn't being really that effective, so I purcheased 10 sessions with Alexandrite laser...
Tomorrow I will have my first session...but I am quite sure I will have to answer a few questions, INCLUDING which medications I am currently taking.
I will be on boy mode and I don't wish to reveal I am on HRT...I mean, I don't care, but to avoid possible strange looks, I prefer to keep this information with myself...
Or should I tell I am a MTF taking hormones? Is that important?
You should probably tell them. I'm sure you aren't the first.
If your technician has been working in the field long enough, I'm sure you're not the first transgender person they've seen. I made no effort to hide my transgender status from my laser hair removal technician, and they were completely okay with it. :) At a certain point you just have to let go of your inhibitions and say to yourself, some people are always going to know you are transgender and you can't let it bother you.
When I told my laser tech that I was trans on the second session, she was glad I said so because she ended up going higher up on the sideburns.
I'm out to the really sweet girl who does my hair/cutting/coloring.. she's super nice to me.. so I figure, the electrol/laser tech, would be just another on the list of maintenance workers for "this project" :) Like Tiffany said, if they've been around long enough, you wont be the first.
I did but I had to to get the costs paid for by my health insurance company (I live in the Netherlands so our system is probably not the same)
Anyway, I picked them because they told me they had plenty of experience with transwomen. Good choice, nice and professional girls who I enjoyed chatting with while tearing up from the pain lol
