OK i do so very much what to wear a skirt but i must be real .My 6,3ft 235 lbs is still work in progress but i have the basics down pat. Like ears pierced ,hair colored ,some face make up ,eyebrows shaped ,talking with my hands ,crying (thats fun and what the heck thing).And do see myself more lady like in mirror and my hands .I have ask the wife and she says ever so slightly .Heres what i need from you other gals is what color or cut ,style of shirts or maybe pants would be good jumping off point ? My summer style is shorts, shorts and well you get it ..I wear my hair tied back with dew rag a lot .At this time my look i am after is soft natural 50 year old tomboy .. Ya tomboys rock and i guess that,s why i call myself a 1% in this circle of fine gals .But as much as i like to pound a nail or wrench on car i still put finger nail polish on Saturday when the work is done .. Would realllllly like to hear any and all suggestions .I believe theirs few lady with more great days under their belt then me that could really help .Thanks a ton .AKA Sara
Jeans and a T shirt. A longer t shirt. I Cant realy give any better advice then that. but somthing common so you dont stand out.
Slightly loose but still above the knee shorts + tight T-shirt = summer outfit done and dusted. Peach is a good summer colour IMO.
Look around and observe what the 50 year old women around you are wearing. If you go with something that is age inappropriate like shorty shorts or a mini skirt you'll draw unwanted attention to yourself.
You don't have to go with the dowdy polyester clothes that some women that age wear, just keep in mind generally what a woman your age would wear.
I am 51 so I have the same issue. I usually wear skinny jeans, a nice top, and some wedges and no one pays me any attention. I'm going for the cool hip mom look.
I agree with Eva. You can't go wrong mimicking what other women of your same age etc. wear.
We'd all love to go for the young lady style but we do stand out a bit. While transitioning I've come to find that I need to really hold back sometimes because I want to pull something off, but really, I can't. More so because any other 28 yr old wouldn't than I can't. Ish.
So "fitting in" and looking the part can mean boring.
Sometimes that equals boring, but that doesn't always mean classy or colourless :)

Me in skinny jeans right now would be funny .Nice top is going in the right direction .Real super to see and talk to gals my age .Have grand day
