so no long intro, just a lil background. Life took a change for the worse a couple years ago....father passed, wife layed off, myself layed off, only in a matter of months. Decision was made to sell home move in with mother to help with "things". Problems started form the onset....my dysphoria would not stop. As with most I have hidden it all my life. Drinking became an issue to my. I called crisis line and got the ball rolling.
Fast forward...the consult is in to the endo and life has once again turned to dodo...mother is to controlling...wife and I cannot continue in this situation...looking for a new place to move to...in northern Wyoming...near as I can tell not much support for me here...open for suggestions...looking at Portland or Seattle atm..any suggestions welcome
limited income...unemployable at VA
I really love central Maryland. Acceptance of my transition has been nothing short of amazing, even the among the parents of the students I teach.
There's a lot of trans resources in Massachusetts, and overall New England is accepting of LGBT peoples. Housing can be kind of expensive if you're looking in urban areas though, though public transportation is great so sometimes you can make up for the housing cost by ditching the car and all the expenses that go with it (and man, Zipcar is a pretty good alternative).
