Title: No friends that are girls
Post by: Snowbell Sophi on May 16, 2014, 10:46:12 PM
Well no friends at all really kinda shut myself off from everything.
OK maybe i do, iv been going to this LGBT thing but they assume im just another gay >.<
the lesbians there all seem like really cool people but would having a bunch of lesbians as my first friends be a good idea or am i just trying to invent reasons not to open up..

Why not? Lesbians are awesome. I'm a lesbian.

I know some wonderful lesbian women and it's great to have them as friends. Just be careful though, if you are still presenting as male (I'm making a massive presumption from your name Sophi, that you identify as m2f) then they may have a different approach to being friends.

If you identify as MTF, which I am assuming because of your name (correct me if I am wrong), I think lesbians would be the perfect friends to make. Not only are they female but they are attracted to females; it sounds perfect.

Well I really can't say anything there as I really have maybe 2 IRL friends, neither of witch I ever get to see. So I am in the same boat. And none of the people IRL know of my gender issues excepting my mom and my grandmother. The latter is very nice and helpful and supportive, my mom thinks it's due to my hormonal problems and I need more testosterone. Anyway,  I don't see a problem there really, but I don't know much about the sexualities so I may not be the best judge. (I'm Asexual, so I kinda ignore the sex topic whenever I can.) So I say go for it, just be careful. ^~^

My lesbian friends were the first to accept me. It could not have worked out any better. I get acceptance, makeup and hair tips and they include me in everything. Some have even made passes at me. :embarrassed: Friends are friends no matter what identity they have. I say go for it as well! :)

Friends are good to have regardless of orientation.
