Title: My mind is made up!
Post by: Umiko on May 17, 2014, 10:32:36 AM
after many weeks of constant searching and thinking, iI've finally come to my decision. Although tough, I've finally choice to accept who and what i am and I've made up my mind. This time is the final time. I'm making one more appointment with my old therapist and what will happen, well I'm not even quite sure, but it must be done. any advice on what to say? I already have the story he wanted written up but i wanna make this appointment the appointment that would determine my final decision and the path i shall take.

You mention everything that you know about what transitioning means.

social transition, physical transition.
All the problembs you might face.
Show them this is somthing you want, and explain why you need it.

My advice, go dressed and tell them that you went dressed to prove to yourself and them that you want to scially transition, and that physical transition can only make you social transition easeyer.

PS go in a taxi if you need to

I totally agree 100%. It will reinforce your decision on your therapist.

That seems like a good way to make your point, to be sure. Just try not to overdo it. Not that I think you will. I merely mean that if you choose to do this, you want to look good and well groomed, it makes you look like you know what your doing.

Note: I can't talk, I don't even have any girls clothes sadly. Oh well.

I agree.  Just be yourself.   The point of transition is to be able to be who you are.

Yes, go as yourself. Preferably do a dry run first. If the appointment is going to be your first time out is girl mode it might be a bit nerve racking - better to get at least one other go on the score board first, even if it is for only 10 or 15 minutes outside it will give you an idea of what it's going to feel like . ALl the best!

i went girl mode all day today! it was so, i dont even know how to tell you how good it felt! it was like the world just disappeared. but of course i had on my androgynous clothing with my new cami and what not (refuse to wear skirts and dress right now maybe during my full time) but i just let the male presence disappear. surprising no one said anything and i got a few smiles xD
