Hello all, Elizabeth here!
I am wondering if anyone out there could answer a question for me? I am only two weeks into hrt and am loving the sensation - it's such a relief knowing my body won't get any more manly! Naturally, I am really excited for when my breasts begin to develop, but I was wondering when I would be able to tell that they are beginning to grow? What are the tell-tale signs?
Thanks for the help! :)
Most report a bit of pain and sometimes a bump under the nipple area.
Oh you'll know... ;D
General achiness, itching, swelling and buds under your nipples. Just don't expect "DD"s overnight. It could take a few years for maximum growth. :)
All of the above. If you're only on week two your endo will most likely be taking it easy with you until they know how your body will cope/react. Regardless, most people will notice something is stirring within a couple of months. Just look out for bumping into things, you'll soon discover how painful developing nipples can be. :icon_yikes:
I don't know about you Grace, but I see Elizabeth finding a whole new respect for doors, drawers and kittens! ;D
Also, if you're the kind of person who moves their hands/arms around close to your chest, you'll soon notice... The number of times I have made a gesture or just been moving my arms out of the way and brushed over the girls...

Kittens are evil.

I have three cats y'all can have. They make great pets and good eats.
Oh boy! We will be getting a new kitten in a few months - right when breasts should be appearing! I will make sure to be extra careful XD
My cat has the ability to know just where to jump on my chest to cause maximum impact and pain.
You'll know when your boobies are coming in, but you have to be patient.
nipples will become sensitive.
It takes time and its a really, really brain dead stupid idea to overdose on estrogen to try and expedite the process.
First, an overdose of estrogen will in most people result in conversion to testosterone.
Second your breast grow they "fuse" after a period, You want the growth phase to be long enough to get as much growth as possible.
A good few folk I have met overdosed and ended up will small, undeveloped cone shaped breasts - they all really regret it!
Another thing is that the "fusing" bit is not hard wired for everyone. In the maternal line of my family, we develop then have a second growth spurt in our forties. I am lucky enough to have gone from a C cup in my twenties to an 36E in my fifties with the spurt not that long ago.
Shape and size are inherited, as are size and sensitivity of nipples and aureola.
My partner has been on hormones for almost two years, is between a B and C cup and still seeing growth. She is currently recovering from SRS and the stress and recovery has an impact but I can see changes almost weekly.
I have no evidence but I believe that stress impacts the process, so while I know its nigh on impossible to avoid stress, its a very worthwhile objective and it may reap more rewards than you expect.
The other bit of advice would be to avoid breats augmentation until you have had at least three years growth otherwise the bodily insult may delay natural growth. There are a good few TS who get a BA then a few years later have yo have a breast reduction - resulting in TWO sets of scars. Stupid...

Is this little guy going to become a problem for me? Is it claws, or weight that we're talking about?

This is Charley. He has five adopted brothers and sisters. Am I doomed? :-\

Not really doomed so to speak. Let's just say your reflexes at protecting the "girls" will get very good! For some reason my cats confuse them with balls of yarn and want to play. *giggles* ;D
Weight, claws and teeth. Ouch! :D
Have been on HRT for 2 1/2 months and are starting to be noticed or felt and loving it. I sometimes have to hold them to make sure they are still there and it is not just a dream. I have wanted them since I was 9 years old. I also had been wearing a sports to work but have stopped for now because I am that much more aware of them during the day. Again as lot of us have wanted to have them just pop out to a C cup. It just takes time but we are also all very different.
Good Luck
Gretchen
It'll take a while for it to become REALLY pronounced (Endos being the conservative bunch they are), but like many have said: Itchiness, tenderness, pain, EXTREME SENSITIVITY (you'll become very aware of things at nipple level; bumping into something is a constant fear). The bottom line is this: when they're coming, you'll know they're coming.

Not true, though T does convert to E.
Maybe I was an exception(my Endo certainly seemed to think so), but I got 'budding'on just 3 mths of tblockers, and that was before I started my E. But seriously I will not ever forget the day my kitten jumped on my bed then decided to pounce on my chest, I think I yelped and sat bolt upright quicker than at any other time in my life. Its really amazing(I mean who knew, I certainly didnt) how sensitive they actually get, and it seems to come in waves some days really crazy sensitive(end up high-beaming every one :o ) other days growing pains and other days again just normal nothing. Funny things boobs lol :)
Turning over on your stomach and getting your fanny spanked by the ceiling fan on your way up off the bed is a good sign of growth!!
I always have to remind myself that what americans call a Fanny is far different from what Aussies and Brits call a Fanny lol :D

So teach the ignorant, what is it that Aussies and Brits call a fanny?

I know right? When I was still developing boobies I had the most horrible time ever "EVER" the worst was when I woke up one night and was going to the bathroom and it was dark and I was too lazy to turn on the lights and then... *slams into door frame* I screamed and my mum came it and saw me rubbing my nubbins and I went 'the door frame tried to kill me!' ill never forget it tho... hate that door frame i still bump on it once in a while but now it barely hurts ( im sure yall know why ). But there are the usual "accidents" when you get that emergency pee situation at night.

Well, that gives new meaning to fanny pack.
You mean this fanny?

Needless to say I was VERY confused when I first heard what americans call bum bags!

Bum bag- I like that better than fanny pack. And when you wear it in front, it's a belly bag.
Of course, you really shouldn't wear one at all because they're horrible. ;)
