Sorry for asking so many questions. I've done a lot of research, but sometimes asking those with experience is better for reference.
A lot of people seem to say hrt won't reduce height, but it seems like a lot of people do. It seems pretty plausible that shrinking cartilage could do this, so I believe people when they make the claim. Has anyone lost height transitioning in their 20s though? I'm 26, so I would hope that it might be possible for me to lose an inch by the time I'm 29-30. I'm 6'0" even, so that's ok I guess, but I'd be nice if I got to 5'11" or even lost just 1/2 an inch. Since I'm 6'0" even and only 26 I'm assuming that one day with age I'll probably make it down a bit, but I'd be nice if hrt spead that up a bit. Thanks everyone.
I think height loss is usually in older woman, like I and probably due to cartilage compression as you said. In a young woman I would be very careful if you lose height and make sure your bone density is OK.
In fact I think all woman should have bone density scans yearly when going on HRT.
Personally, I think my height loss is actually posture change - I stand with my spine curved and my pelvis thrust forward more - but I figure if I'm always this height, that's how tall I "really" am, even if I could maybe get that missing inch back by painfully stretching myself as tall and straight as I can. :)
(Anyway, I started HRT at 32 and I was 5'8", now 5'7".)
