so first of all i dont have may friends, then the friends i do have all seem to be busy on my birthday 2 of them own there own business and alway work weekends, 3 are new mums and say they dont have anyone to babysit and finally my other 2 good friends are working abroad (1 in cape verde and the other in Los Angeles) so a party is out of the question
my family keep on bringing up ideas but they all seem lame, like go to the beach or go fishing, we always used to go to the beach for my birthday when i was a child but theres nothing there that i enjoy anymore. the other one fishing, now i used to love fishing but since coming out i just dont feel comfortable in such a male dominated environment.
to be honest i just wish i could be on my own for my birthday but i dont have the guts to tell my family i want to be on my own on whats meant a special birthday.
You could always not say a word and just disappear for the day. I've done that on more than one occasion.

thats a really good idea but theres problems doing that such as i have nowhere to go as i dont drive and money is extremely tight at the moment as im unemployed
Nothing wrong with sitting home with a good movie and perhaps a bottle of wine. Hide in your room with a video game. Read any book that you haven't been able to before, sit in a restaurant drinking coffee and people watching, etc.
I'm poor too and have done all of those and more.

i know it might sound like im being difficult, i live at home with family so if im watching a film they are watching a film, id rather commit suicide than sit in my room as its a box room, i dont have a bed just a mattress on floor, a wardrobe, no tv and 4 white walls, i dont really read much apart from when im studying somthing and finally where i live there are no restaurants apart from a wetherspoons pub where you find all the people you dont want to meet as a transsexual person.
It doesn't sound like you are being difficult at all. Have you thought about a nature walk or perhaps a camp out in a friends backyard? Hiking is free most places. Hide out in a mall is an option, if you can get to one. Window shopping by yourself can be fun.

hiking round where i live is dam boring, geographically the area in which i live is desert, baron, flat and all farm land, haven't got a mall in town, i used to really enjoy mountain biking but my bike was stolen a few months ago, it meant alot to me i had gradually brought new parts for and id had since i was 14 and i even carried on using when i turned semi pro at the age 16(so mountainbiking is out of the question). all my friends are busy the week end of my birthday. i hate window shopping because i always believe in achieving something and window shopping achieves nothing in my eyes.
i do want to something but nothing seems the same as it once was and its so hard to spend time together as a family because someone always starts an argument.

my only hobby in recent time is fishing but this number 1 a normal weekly thing and number 2 i dont feel comfortable fishing since coming out because its such a male orientated scene but iv been doing it since i was 4 years old.

I once spent a birthday stuck in an airport lounge in Singapore during a riot- it is times like these when you realize a birthday is just an arbitrary day- you will miss a few, offset a few but ultimately it makes no difference in the long run. Life may feel stuck right now, but it will open up.
For hobbies- Learn something new- youtube is a great source of free stuff.
I just turned 32, so I wish I was 21 again. I literally did nothing for my 21 birthday. But, the other day, I spent it all and four more days with my BF. We showered together, then had sex, then went out, had sex on the side of someone's house, then walked around, then went back to his place, his roommate wanted to get drunk, we didn't, she went to bed, I gave him a BJ and he came in my mouth lol but he wants me to swallow from now on as he wants it inside me. heheheheheheh Jeez I'm gross but I love that cause when he does, I know he likes me. 1. Stop feeling old. It is silly..
2. Push the family for a new bike.
3. Deed polls are peanuts cost wise. Like £20 on line. or download one and print them off yourself. In the uk, you have the legal right to call yourself what you want. The rest is just free paperwork/admin. So, that is a cheapo thing to look forward to.

Ok, why do you feel old ? Just because you have been through a lot should not make you feel old. If you want to feel young, stop dwelling on the past. Look for new things. There is a world of new out there. Go and get some.
And deed poll or anything transition related can wait until you are ready. Nothing is mandatory in this game until you involve the NHS, but that is another story.
