I've been off hormones and blockers for several weeks in preparation for my SRS.
I felt that "urge" that we've all grown to know so well brought about by T. Well, I decided to give in to the urge.
Bad idea.
First, the O was totally the male type. Even a few weeks without E completely erases any ability to feel a female O.
Second, there was fluid involved. Tubes that had been dry for more than a year, gushed with a sudden onrush of liquid.
You wouldn't believe how much it hurt. It took a good 10 minutes before I stopped groaning, and not in a good way.
Don't feel bad, stretching the skin is good for your new vagina!

I've been curious about this as I've also noticed a bit of pain in that area.
Does anyone know what causes this? Is it negative (if it matters) to SRS?
I have pain too, now almost every time. I doubt it will affect SRS though, most of the erectile tissue is not used as I understand it- only a little bit for the clitoris?

It's just a small "stub" of erectile tissue.
Masturbation does keep everything stretched out. However, it's difficult to play with something and derive pleasure from it when one desperately wants to be rid of the particular configuration.....

At about 9 months into my HRT, I had lost most erection ability, but one night I had a wet dream, and part of the dream was somebody trying to castrate me without benefit of anesthetic. That was the last time I ever became erect, but the memory still makes me turn white as a ghost. I had actually let out a shriek of pain. After that time I would get some fluid discharge with a Girl O, but ugh!!
With Dr. Bowers I did not go completely off of Estrogen, but did have to cut off the Spiro two weeks before surgery, and I could feel some "old" sensation, but I was too damn crabby to feel like any masturbation, and too tired running around to get ready for the trip up north.

I had some pain also with climax on HRT ...but I expected I would. Other than that, everything worked as normal, just shot blanks. Was almost sad to see the little guy go, he did nothing wrong!!! :o ...lol
He didn't go anywhere, just got a nice warm new home where he gets massaged every day or so.
Wow. I feel so much better about getting the orchi first now.
So sorry this happened to you Suzi. I hate it when that area draws attention to itself without permission.
Yah. Raising the flag becomes interesting.
Even on low dose, it feels pretty tight down there - the tissues just don't like getting inflated anymore.
As much as it hurts both emotionally and physically, it is important to be able to maintain the ability to orgasm. At least that's what everyone has told me. It is supposed to make it easier for you to orgasm after surgery.
After about 6 months of hormones, any erection or orgasm was very painful in the erectile tissue, and it had become somewhat disfigured, so I had to deal with another 12 keeping things going every couple of weeks. Glad to be past that :)
Everything became sensitive on E. Some couple orgasm were painful I think that was because subconsciously thing down there pushes itself for something to come out but once you get used to post-E orgasms everything is wonderful.
How long before SRS do you have to stop HRT and how long do you have to wait to start again? Also is it similar to the first HRT except without as much breast growth or is it completely different?
Keeping in mind I haven't even started HRT the first time yet.
(bellowing Mom voice, coming up the stairs)
ok, all you cheerleaders get back in your rooms.. SOMEBODY has to play the Dorm Mom on this floor.
Suze.. correct me if I'm wrong (rest of you, hush up).. but did I, or did I not, read that your doc said to refrain from any strolls in Adventureland for several weeks? Which, by my calendar, it has -not- been several!
in all seriousness, did she not say to avoid that for several weeks? Not trying to harp or harangue here, but just trying to keep you ok. If I'm mistaken, sorry, just looking out for you.
(Mom's voice fading down the hall, back down the stairs to the RA's apt.)
You girls better settle down if you know what's good for you! That means you too Suzikins! ;)

Different surgeons seem to do it differently. My surgeon had me stop a month before and I won't start again until two weeks after.
As for what it will be like, I'm only 9 days post-op so still another five days before I can start E again.

She didn't say anything about preop. The incident above happened a good ten days before my surgery.
Yeah, I'm not supposed to be sexual for 6 weeks to 3 months afterward.
(Soft mommys voice).. ok, hon, I'm sorry.. I read that it - just - happened.. like few days ago, post-op.. sorry to wake you, (whispering) go back to sleep.. (turns, tiptoes out of the room)
