Title: Dr Rockmore? Feedback please
Post by: newyorker75 on June 11, 2014, 02:58:08 PM
Hey guys,

Just wanted to see if there's any up-to-date feedback on Dr Rockmore of Albany, NY. I'm trying to decide between him and Dr Fischer in Baltimore. I'm in NYC.

It's hard to find pics of Rockmore's work, so am really just looking for personal experiences -- either yours or your friends/partners/whoever.

I'm looking at having DI w/grafts, with no plans to go on T, so I'm mainly concerned if he's good with preventing dog ears and other aesthetic issues that could happen from the procedure. I'm in fairly good shape, work out a ton, probably about a size C, but a small person in general.

Any info or feedback is welcomed. And pics too, if you got 'em!

Yeah, I saw that and posted a follow-up question but doesn't seem like anyone's seen it so I figured I'd start a new thread. Thanks, though.

Hopefully, you will hear from someone soon.  Maybe you should just PM the guys directly that you know had surgery with Rockmore.  They may not be on the forum in recent days.

I wish I could remember the name of the guy who recently had surgery with Fisher.  For what it is worth, I met with Fisher and I liked her very much.  If I didn't have my heart set on Garramone, I would have gone with her.  Remember, unlike Rockmore, she has done a large number of these surgeries over many years, dating back to the 1990's, I believe.  Everything I have seen of Rockmore looks good, but I place experience as a high priority for my decision making.  Fisher is known for her keyholes, but I think her DI look good too.  I assume you have seen her work on transbucket.  Unfortunately, her consult is not free.

Thanks, Brett. It won't let me PM anyone on here for some reason, maybe 'cause I'm too new to the forum? Not sure. Hopefully someone will check it out and answer soon.

I posted a thread a few years ago and I had surgery with Dr. Rockmore. Absolutely amazing results, can't lie. I don't go in the top surgery portion of this site because I've already had it done but I came across this because I saw Rockmore on the main page. I had surgery with him in July 2012 and couldn't be happier. He is a perfectionist or at least I thought so. I did not have DI though as I had a small chest. I don't have a complaint about him or his staff. If you have any specific questions just let me know.

Hey! I'm scheduled for top surgery with Dr. Rockmore in less than a month! I had a consult with him and he was extremely nice and confident. He addressed all my questions and provided a lot of information about what would be happening during and after surgery. My surgery is a little different than you situation, I'm getting the periareolar and have been on T for a while but I saw some of his peri results and they came out simply stunning. The office team was friendly and informative. I'm very exciting and nervous for surgery but have complete faith that I'm in good hands with Dr. Rockmore. I think if you consult with him you will feel better about considering him for your surgery. I'll be sure to post pictures after it's done to help you decide if you'd like.
