Title: Anyone had type III with Cardenas?
Post by: jgirl76 on June 12, 2014, 10:04:15 PM
Sorry to fill up the board with yet ANOTHER Cardenas thread, but through all the discussions I have not spoken with anyone who has actually undergone a type III procedure with him.  If you have undergone a type III reconstruction with Dr. Cardenas I would love to hear from you about your experience! Or if you know of someone that has undergone type III with him?

I had type I with him in May, but I'm considering going back to him for type III.

A friend of mine had her forehead done with Cardenas, and I've asked her what type, I should get back to you :) x

Please! If someone has any information about Cardenas' type III results it would help us a lot; Jgirl because she would like a revision and me because I am flying to Guadalajara for FFS NEXT week!

I am kind of concerned because although Tyler (one of Dr C's assistants) insists that Cardenas does stellar type III surgeries, he was not able to show me any before/after photos.

I'm finding it rather revealing that Dr. Cardenas offers and charges for type III forehead reconstruction, yet Nobody seems to be able to find one girl whom he actually has done type III on... Every girl that has talked about their experience with him seems to tell the same story -"when I woke up in recovery, DR Cardenas said I didn't need type III...  Does he ever actually think anyone needs type III? Hmmmm ...?

Let's not forget all this battle is going on over a one of MANY procedures performed by dr Cardenas.

His results on the website look very good, and we have girls who have had work done with him, I didn't come across any negative reviews. They all speak highly of him and his team, we got another girl going to have FFS with him within next 2 or 3 weeks and she said she should keep us updated.

Seems a bit silly to discredit a surgeon because he didn't do III forehead reconstruction for you. Maybe there are medical reasons for it? Refunding you the money is another issue.

TearDrops- Tristan does not do reporting for Dr. C- I can vouch 100% for her authenticity. We talk a lot and are good online friends outside of Susan's- for over a year or more

Plus I think she only had the Type I with him, and that was several years ago. Her most recent reason for going to him did not involve FFS but a different procedure altogether. Maybe that is where the confusion is coming from.

This is the exact title of thread I posted months ago and no one never answered. Cos I am planning to go there soon.

Even Tristan she had a forehead somewhere BETWEEN Type 2 and Type 3 and not a 100% pure Type 3. You can still find her videos on youtube.

Maybe you might be the pioneer here to do this. You need to ask him if he REALLY does that and what people talk about him in forums. ask him to be honest if he really can do it properly or not.

It certainly leaves me a bit suspicious... TearDrops account is that she paid for type III and surprise! Did't get it! I gave permission to Dr. C to do type III if we needed it, he said I didn't need it, and actually now that the swelling has gone down, it's even more apparent now that I needed it.  I'm not sure what his aversion to type III is but if ANYONE reads this who has had type III, really hope to hear from you!

I have some photos that purport to show examples of Dr. C's type III work. Some of these look like type III, but others look like type II (shaving with bone cement)  https://picasaweb.google.com/114844798135051886193/TypeIIIForeheadBoneReconstruction?authkey=Gv1sRgCK3NrPb00aqV0QE

Sadly, she's had type II done :( So I can't provide any information on type III.

Thanks for posting the link! His eyebrow lift work is really good, but it differs from patient to patient, as with every surgeon.

Well, so far NO ONE has ever reported having type III with Dr. Cardenas and at least once person who paid for it, reportedly didn't receive it. Until someone comes forward who can say they've had type III and is willing to provide pics, I suspect that Dr. Cardenas doesn't actually perform type III, and if he does, then it's very seldom. Roni is scheduled for surgery next week... she is planning to request type III so I guess we'll see if that is what she receives... Pending she goes through with surgery as scheduled.

Try to send a private message to Tristan, she's the one who did the highest of all. Check what she tells you or search for her youtube chanel and message her there if she doesnt reply here. She's not that frequent here as before now.

The first lady's forehead results look terrible :/ It seems like her forehead and sinus area actually ended up being bigger and more pronounced. Not in the male pronounced sort of way, just the abnormally pronounced sort of way. I hope it is just the swelling..

I think some type II results (shave plus filler/resulting in dolphin forehead) got mixed in here? Some of the others "appear" to be type III. With type III the frontal sinus will be clearly "set back" flush with the bridge of the nose. If you look at before/after photos from surgeons who do type III, dramatic results are immediately apparent, even if there is some swelling. I don't think the first photo in the series is type III at all...

That's what I thought. Type III appealed greatly to me because I aspire to have a flat "set back" forehead as you mentioned, not that "dolphin forehead" effect that Type II gives.

Edit: The three latter girls have more ideal foreheads. I wouldn't have a hard time believing that those were Type III results. If those are indeed Type III, then I think I am confident with going through the Type III procedure with Dr C. I guess I'll just have to make sure to tell him to avoid Type II at all costs, as a personal preference matter from me.

It's fine... I just hope to hear from someone who has had type III with Cardenas... and so far nothing...
He did an ok job on me, he didn't make a mess of my face, if anything he was just too conservative and didn't do type III which would have been optimal. Also the stitch job I received wasn't that great, specifically I have some hair that got stitched into the forehead incision that has caused some festering. It's clearing up more and more now that I'm 4 weeks out, but I wasn't very pleased about that.

If I HAD TO DO IT OVER in a perfect world, I would have gone to DiMaggio for my forehead and that is who I will likely go to for a revision UNLESS I can find people who can vouch for Dr. Cardenas type III abilities.

Lastly I'm sorry to hear about your problems with your chin and are faced with re-doing your surgery. I know personally how difficult of a pill that is to swallow... because I'm going to need round II as well <ding! ding!>  Ugh...

This link doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm financially limited to Cardenas and would be very interested to see these. Are they available anywhere else?

It appears the page has been taken down in the time since I posted the link... not sure why. I don't know of where else you can see the photos, sorry :(

Hi.. this is Tyler in Mexico (transop.com).  Let me assure everyone that Dr. Cardenas does perform the Type III procedure on the forehead.  He isn't one of those surgeons that believes that every patient needs this procedure, but certainly some do.  I'm attaching a before and after photo of one of our Type III patients.  Roni will be here tomorrow and I can share some more graphic photos with her that actually show the procedure in progress.  I hope that this will put to rest the doubts as to whether or not Dr. Cardenas is able to perform and, in fact, does perform this procedure.

Locking the thread.

To be totally clear I will lock any FFS thread that cast aspersions on the surgeons.

Those of you who are posting who are reps of the clinics will be banned.
