Title: Transition Help in Alabama
Post by: AliceFaust on June 21, 2014, 10:08:14 AM
Hello, I'm new here and was kind of looking for some help. I have started seeing a therapist to start the journey into transitioning from MtF, but other than seeing a therapist I have no idea what I should be doing. I have tried to look alone to find information, but it seems like every site I go to tells me something different. My ultimate goal is SRS, but for now I just want to start HRT, but I'm not even certain how long I have to see a therapist before I can begin that. So, anyone who has gone through this before I would greatly appreciate any insight, advice, or just anything you could give. Thank you!

a good gender therapist will help quite a bit. The LGBT community centers can offer a lot of information

Sadly there aren't any good gender therapists in my area, at least none that are within reasonable driving distance. Last I checked the closest was about two and a half hours away which isn't feasible for me to drive. I have looked on the LGBT Community center site, but couldn't find any information, and once more there are none near me.  :-\
