I've been reading forums and recommendations for about a month. I really want a binder but am having trouble narrowing down the information to one that I think would be a good fit. I like comfort and many seem to roll up. I don't want to cause any more back issues than I have. I want to be able to breathe.
Does anyone have any favorite ones? I can't afford to buy a ton. I can't really afford one, but I need one. I used to be a DD and now I am a D (after running a marathon I shrunk a size). I am about 27/28 inches around my ribs and 34/35 inches around my chest. I wear sports bras now but I want to be as flat as possible without causing pain and harm.
I really hesitated to post since there are so many posts about this topic, but I am really not sure which to get. Surgery won't be for at least a year so I really want to do what I can to minimize my unwanted chest for now.
Hey Mo
You sound like you are very close to my size so I will let you know how a couple different binders worked for me.

I had this one in black, size Large. It worked really well for going out - it really got me flat and also provided the mid-section compression too. Definitely only a short term thing though, would never want to wear it to sleep or for a really long day. It did restrict somewhat. But it was easily tucked in to my pants and rarely rolled up - only if I was really moving around.

Then I had this one in white, Large as well. This one I wore to work everyday where I am active and was comfortable. It only has the compression in the chest, your midsection is simply in the cotton tank. More comfortable, didn't restrict me really at all. But like I said, at times the full compression of the other binder made me feel a bit more secure in terms of holding everything in.
These are the only two I ever used since they did the job and the price was right. And they should last you your year until surgery. I'm actually sending mine in to this program - maybe you can look into it if you're in need.
