Title: My Dr Z scar revision today
Post by: VickyMI on June 23, 2014, 05:38:28 PM
This morning I had a scar revision for a lip lift surgery that I had with Dr. Z last year in March. He used dermablashion (sp?) which for those of you unaware is like having your skin sandpapered and leaving a red mark like a bad sunburn.

Anyway everything went well except those initial lidocaine shots to numb the area. Ouch x 5!

I did get a kick out of the waiting/consultation room which smelling salt packs taped to three walls. Cole said they were more for the patient's partner than for the patient. Ha how true as my wife needed them when I had knee surgery...he even said some of the employees have had to use them.

Dr. Z was real nice about everything and I was pleased to see he stood behind his work 100%.  Heading home now.

Hey there good to hear it done, the Lidocaine is unreal at least for me when I got a lip lift.

Did Dr Z leave any other bad scars if you got any other incisions?

glad it went so well.  Dr Z and the team are amazing.  Scarring seems to affect different folk quite differently.  In my case I needed scar revisions but was too far from Chicago to have them fixed.  I am very pleased with his work and support, during which is quite a stressful procedure.  How happy were you with your results?
