I've been on a low dose of spiro and estradiol for nearly 2 months and was wondering what are the chances that my sperm is still good? I've been thinking about children lately and these maternal keeps haunting me. A family is something I've always dreamed about. I feel like it's something I would heavily regret in future. Do you girls think it's too late to freeze my sperm? Or do I need to get off hormones for that?
you would need to have a discussion with your doctor
Noone can say for sure. It is different between people. But I would say 2 months is short time to cause any permanent changes. I am on low dose(E only) for more than a half year and still produce sperm, but with less count. But you should bank as s soon as possible because there is high risk that after longer period your sperm count will be too low for banking,

yeah I plan on doing that too. Just wanted to get people's opinion first.

okay thank you so much. I was a bit worried for a sec. I'll make sure to go ASAP.
On a low dose and for only 2 months, there's probably enough to work with to bank. Don't leave it too long. If the count is too low, if you really want to bank, then you might have to go off HRT for a few months before trying again.
It took me about 18 months before I was effectively sterile on low dose, but it's not something I've been specifically keeping an eye on.
Of course, please talk to your Doctor - that will be your best bet.
I've heard it happens quite fast if taking actual ht scrips. Better talk to a Dr, if it's already too late don't beat yourself up, okay.
As long as you have your testes I don't think you can actually be sterile a 100%. I mean yes definitely while you're on testosterone blockers but if you get off of them for a good period of time, your sperm should come back. I remember reading an article about a transwoman who was wanted to bank her sperm but she had been on hrt for a good while like more than a few years. She consulted with her doctors and was steadily taken off hrt for an x amount of time until the sperm came back and was able to use it for getting her partner pregnant. I'll try looking for the article later but yeah hope this helps!
There is still a risk of permanent sterility with HRT even if testicles remain or at least enough significant change/damage that sperms will never go back to what they were to be able to fulfill their function properly. The response varies from one person to another. If you really want kids, then I think it's best to stop immediately, check sperm health and bank it if good or wait until hopefully, it regains its vigor. Then go back on HRT.
