Hi one and all, has anyone had any experience with Javier Rossi? If not then does anybody know where he has appeared from? Was he at T.change as Dr DeMaggios understudy? If not does anybody know his history. I have had a good quote back from T. change and Dr Rossi, but even though Dr DeMaggios quote was nearly twice as much, I'm still seriously considering him as I've heard he is "the man" when it comes to doing a Type III. All and any information is very much appreciated. The procedures I am going for are, type III forehead, rhinoplasty and tip reshaping, chin and jaw contouring. I'm definitely not going to Femilife in Peru, nor will I go to Transop in Mexico, basically they have had far too many bad reviews, and hardly any good reviews. Does anyone also know what is involved in an "Open type Rhinoplasty", apart from the obvious of course. I'm talking about possible scarring and the like. This is another procedure that Dr DeMaggio thinks is going to be needed to be undertaken to my very damaged nose. Thanks for any input. :)
Open rhinoplasty is the standard type of rhinoplasty, the kind required to do extensive work that any surgeon who does rhinoplasties would do, closed rhinoplasties are done on a few patients who need minor grinding or changes to the tip.
I would be very interested to find out more about this too, I'm in almost the same place as the OP, with quotes from both and in need of a fairly serious rhinoplasty lol.
I had a more serious rhinoplasty that involved breaking and resetting both nasal bones (nose was crooked I guess?) and it was all done through a closed, fwiw. It could just depend on the surgeon.
In the end, though, the changes I wanted were fairly minimal. Nothing drastic in appearance at all. So that may have also had something to do with it being "closed" style.

My surgeon did and open rhino, to be honest it simply is above the closed method and the scar is totally INVISIBLE, even 3 months post off which I am, and even in daylight, no makeup, it just isn't there, so it shouldn't really be a problem.
Hi Angel, thank you for your reply, I read it on another page/topic, so Ive popped it onto my page/topic. The surgeons secretary, today sent me an illustration of where the scar would be, and what it would look like. Do you mind letting me know who performed your surgery and what you had done?? Are you happy with the results or not? Thank you for your time.
I had significant work done on my nose, including hump removal, tip reduction, narrowing of my nasal bones etc. It was done as a closed procedure. Maybe I would have had better results with an open procedure, but I don't know. I think a lot depends on the surgeon.
