growing up long before HRT I found the scent of perfume very difficult appreciate. It would tend to drive me into another space. Now, since being on HRT I'm finding I rather enjoy a small amt. when I'm in a dress. I started sampling while shopping to build my wardrobe and found the Jennifer Aniston perfume to fit me really well. Has anyone else experienced a drastic ->-bleeped-<- since starting hormones

The most hilarious typo which I have seen recently :). But, yes, quite drastic shift, both in terms of enjoyability and preferences :). HRT affects everything "smell and scent" related :). Nice perfume smells fuller, richer and stronger :). Same about guys... those who smell nice, are enjoyable, but those who have skipped a bathtime or two or five... are just terrible to have around.

Um, no I haven't. Is this something I should expect and prepare for????? ;D
I use to dislike any fragrances. Now a very light sweet scent is very pleasing.
sorry for the typo my keys are sticky I spilled coffee
Interesting. I too can't stand perfume. I like nice subtle scents and perfume isn't subtle at all. However since accepting myself, I've noticed a number of "Why do girls want that?" type things I'm actually interested in. I expect HRT to add to the list. I'm hoping shoes isn't one of them. All my sisters have WAY too many shoes.
Oh gosh yes!! My favorite at the moment is called "Pleasures". ;)
there is a musk scent that I want to try . every once in a long while I'll notice a woman wearing it , but I don't have the slightest idea of the name or how I'd go about finding it.
Simply ask her. I have before and it was taken well.
Every time I hear the term "musk," I think "rat," and then I think of the captain and tennille.

I was planning on doing that next time I smelled it , but I've only smelled it twice
Ok, I admit it. I can't stand Britney Spears music, but her perfume line is heavenly. I've bought every scent and wear them daily! The bottles are beautiful and I often get compliments on how good I smell. I keep buying the discontinued ones online when I have the money. Please stay relevant Britney so I can keep getting your perfumes! :'(

Not dating yourself at all! *giggles* :D
Victoria's Secret Rapture and Chanel no. 5 are still my favs HRT didn't change that. I do notice my nose seems better on HRT though. I am also loathe to admit that I have two bottles of Kim Kardashian's perfume (both gifts) and I love it. I just assume she has nothing to do with the actual fragrance.
I will say this despite my nose seeming better at discerning scents I still can't tell the difference between my knockoff version of Chanel no.5 and the real stuff but my budget sure knows the difference.
Nup. The stuff still makes me sneeze. :D
I loved it before and I still love it. I really wish I didn't have such expensive taste.
4 word answer is:
Yes, Victoria secret Pink.

No. I still find the smell of perfumes too overpowering for me.
(you can add aftershaves and deodorants to that is well)
Perfumes... I remember that being just 5 meters from my older sister could make my eyes sore and bad taste on my mouth :-) . Then again she used some really extreme perfumes...
But yes, like a month back I started to notice that scents don't have such an aggressive on me anymore and quite a few are actually pleasant. Especially the natural ones. I'm not allergic to anything but before HRT walking around areas with a plenty of plants during their spring activity (sorry, my English lacks the word that describes it) could get me nauseous.
Still I think it will take me some time before I can get myself to use something mild if such a perfume exists. Since the hair dye I use reminds me of blueberries then that might be a nice combination :-) .

Pretty much this, but can't really put any on myself yet, but i've always preferd flowery, and fruity smells over the dull "ocean Breeze" "mount air" stuff that guy soaps and aftershave smells like...
However entering any store with to many scents gives me a head ache. :P
DOLCE & GABANNA Light blue is my weakness.
Not really, I just like wearing the cheapo stuff that smells like berries and happy ->-bleeped-<-.
I love it though I've become sensitive to it and laid off as I get a rash.I'm one of the skinflints who always sprays with the samplers in stores.
I wear Chanel no. 5,
HRT has not changed my love for perfume...
I love scent! Use Beautiful or Cashmere Mist mostly. I try to buy replacement bottles around Xmas time because
there are often deals and "gifts" of makeup collections along with the purchase. Also, around that time they often
have boxed sets of smaller bottles (much larger than samples) that come as a fashion house collection. often a good
deal to try quality stuff over a period of time.
