Hey! It's Max and I don't know but I feel insane. My dysphoria is really high and can't go to a therapist. Although I'm an adult, I'm still being "the slave of my parents" but I don't know how to survive this. People told me to work out and to man things but my parents doesn't like me so I gotta be a girl.
I wanna die or run away but I don't know. Can you give me some suggestions or help?
Um first, why are you a slave to your parents? If you are an adult what prevents you from seeing a Therapist as well? Are you FtM? Just need a little more info to help you. :)
He could be a slave to parents due to financial constraints, it's hard being independent these days. I'm in the same situation as you, feeling like I needed to please everyone but the fact is this is basically shooting yourself in the foot. Since I live in NYC, we have this place called Callen-Lorde where they offer sliding scales for those, like me, who are eligible for tit and are uninsured. Is there a special LGBT center where you live that can provide low-cost transgender care and help you start transitioning? You do have to remember that you owe it to yourself to be happy and stop pleasing others because you will not satisfy everyone. That is unrealistic. Do you also have a job?
Since you know I will let you handle this. ::)
Im ftm
I dont have a place to be in :(
I don't have any job
First you have to get on your own feet and start carving your niche in life. Get any job and all and work towards your goal just like we all did. This will make you independent and not a "slave" to anyone. Also transition is not cheap at all. You are going to need very good resources to reach your goals. Therapy can be inexpensive depending on where you go. I am an alum of Oklahoma State University and when I needed a Therapist I went to the Psychology Department. I am only charged $10.00 per hour session. You DO NOT have to be a student or graduate for this service. It is available to the public as well. So check your local College or University to see if they have this option. Quite a few Colleges and Universities offer trans related services on their health policies so going to school may do two things for you. First, train you for a career and prosperous future. Second, assist with transition. Start looking around and making life plans. :)
Thank you
