she seems convinced my overwhelming sense of worthlessness accounts for as she put it 'my poor identity concept.' I am being moved over to high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy now since my doctors believe everything stems from my stress levels. At this point, I'm not sure if I'm mad that the lady I saw gave me no information regarding gender counselling like she initially said or if they think its more important to deal with my core belief issues first (they also think my gender issues are down to negative beliefs about myself, go figure)
well, Im gonna wait this out. I guess if my gender is still a problem for me by the end of all this, they'll HAVE to start taking that part seriously, I just feel let down though.
I don't really know how I feel about that. ??? It could go both ways I suppose, but not to refer you to gender counseling to be sure? Hmmm :-\ I don't know all the information, but it almost sounds like a type of reparative therapy to me. Let us know how it progresses because I am curious now. I do hope they get things worked out either way so you can feel happy and adjusted though. :)
It's possible that she is right and it is all a stress thing (and stress therapy is never a bad thing :D) but she should also be counseling you on your Gender Identity issues, and if she isn't you have the right to get a different therapist!

I'm not one to believe stress causes ->-bleeped-<- :) Sadly in the UK there are reports that this happens, particularly in the north west since there's almost no gender identity counsellors in the top half of the country, most of them are down south or even fewer are on the NHS. Turns out that stuff gets ignored until every other possible outcome is dealt with (since sadly even most proffessionals think transgender means =sex change is only option)
I'm not best pleased, but I do have some better news. Im moving into a new house in just over a month and they housemates are open-minded about this stuff :) will also be nice to be away from the family for a while in some regards, since Im not out to them.

I better relax then or I will have wasted money on transition!
I can see this being a revolutionary, everytime a woman gets mad, she grows a beard, instantly.
