I heard after operation you're not suppose to enter swimming pools but I dunno after how long you can. I'm almost one month post op, can I swim in a swimming pool already or if not when can I?
One month is way to early sweetie. Public pools especially have way to much bacteria and other contaminants. Don't risk it this early. I am going to stay out of them until a minimum of 5 months or so. It also depends on your personal healing characteristics. Some can do it earlier and some can't. :)

I was told around 3 to 4 months post should be good for pools unless one is still having healing issues. 6 to 8 months for hot tubs or spas. 1 year or more for lakes, stream and rivers.
That was my instructions.

If you're desperate for a soak, I guess you could fashion a waterproof covering around your midsection... Maybe some duct tape and one of those heavy duty trashbags?
;) j/k
I checked and you can enter a swimming pool now!! Just one without water. :P
Anyway just think how great you will look next year in your bikini!! :)
Also try to avoid hot baths they are brill for setting of thrush infections and thats at 3mths post op :( x

Maybe not quite the same but two salt baths a day are recommended for me post op.
Now just to update my post.
Pools was for a public type pool. If you have one of your own in your back yard???? Give your surgeon a shout
Spas and hot tubs are still out of the question due to the heat factor. and nature water well what can i say, who knows whats living in them anymore.

Lol this is wrong in so many ways. She almost makes it look sexy.
But really better not to risk infection, there are many more summers to come.
Also nothing prevents you to wear a bathing suit just for the sheer enjoyement of it ;D

Glad "Press & Seal" (regular - not freezer wrap) might do the trick and it would be much more comfortable. However, you will have it to remove it to pee and start over with new covering. Is it really worth that much trouble?
No challenge is ever too great for a dedicated soaker ;)
"Soaker" is someone who seeks out places to bathe no matter where it is.. Hot springs, natural water holes... It usually involves some kind of hike.
I am definitely what one would call a "soaker". I am always on the hunt for a good hot spring!
Maybe I'll be dawning one of these press 'n seal bathing suits.... JUST KIDDING

"I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!"
Dr. Sanguan said the ocean was ok, not pools for at least a few months. That was at two weeks when I asked
