I'm sure the Alliance Defending Freedom don't appreciate the irony of the name given they want to enforce sex and gender essentialism on everyone. It also amazes me that they, yet again, have the temerity to claim that the decision is 'inconsistent with concerns for safety'. It's perfectly consistent with concerns for safety of the transgender teen, they face the actual possibility of violence if made to use the wrong restroom and still face the possibility of violent enforcement of gender norms from cisgender girls too. Conversely, the concerns for 'safety' of cisgender people are predicated on predator myths.

More importantly, it's vile that they're subjecting a teen to the stress and pressures of this at a time that's already difficult. I just hope that no conservative organisations latch on to this again and make things far worse for the teen given the horrifying damage it's consistently done in the past.
