Title: Verbally assaulted by two homophobes from my school today
Post by: Chic on July 06, 2014, 02:41:11 PM
Note: I'm an outed homosexual, but I identify as a transwoman, so I still get homophobic insults thrown at me. I'm still pre-everything and do not present as female in public.

So I went out with a friend today to try to forget about my relationship troubles for just a little bit. We went out but halfway through she had to go home.

When I walked home, two guys from my school that I don't know the names of walked past me and started mocking me with a high pitched voice, calling me 'baby' and asking me out on a 'date' and saying they have 'something to show me'. As they walked down the block out of sight, one yelled out "->-bleeped-<-got" at me and the other laughed.

I'm just very upset right now. I can't. Awful things just keep happening to me constantly. I hate this.

This also didn't help my usual social anxiety as I was walking home alone. I was very nervous and paranoid after this. I still am. I don't even wanna go outside anymore.

My dysphoria just shot way up too.

I am so sorry sweetie!  :icon_hug: :icon_bunch:  Just know it is them with the issue, not you.

I wish I had the power to take you away from it all. I am here anytime you need to talk. I wish it was more.  :(

They are probably confused because you turn them on. Their childish insults are just how boys are.

ugh! self proclaimed homophobes get on my nerves. dont let them get to you. they are just insecure about themselves. their heads are already full of air so by not responding will deflate their egos.

Sorry. I'm disappointed that this still goes on. It sounds like they recently climbed out of the primordial soup and stalled at troglodyte. Their behaviour says so much about them. They're losers and jealous of who you are. I wonder if they would have the nerve if they were individuals on their own. Obviously, they work in packs. They have serious self-esteem issues and have to pull everyone down to their level. Take a different route, perhaps a route where you're not alone. Let this incident make you stronger and not discourage you.

Chic, I wish I could be there to look out for you and walk with you so you wouldn't have to feel so vulnerable.

*hugs*

People like those two live miserable, empty lives. They just want to feel like they have power over someone by bringing them down. Don't let them, okay?

I went through something like this several years ago. I was buying a new mouse for my computer and my voice was only so-so in those days. I also had a severe tonsil infection so that didn't help. My voice would always seem to drop at the worst times. As the clerk rang me up, they said "that will be x amount of money, ma'am". I croaked out an 'okay' and they didn't bat an eye. BUT there were these two male brats (probably about 17 or so) near me and once I left the electronics department of the shop, these idiots followed me through the store going, "Hey, DUDE" "What's up, DUDE?!". I walked to the Pizza Hut kiosk that was in the store and these idiots were continuing to do this.

I bought the piece of pizza and walked out, with them still following me. I thought to myself: "If they don't quit by the time I am finished with this pizza, I am going to turn around and knock the hell out of both of them." After following me halfway across the damn parking lot, they finally figured out that I wasn't going to give them what they wanted. If it had went on for five more minutes, they would have ended up with bloody noses, black eyes or both. Yeah, it was 2 on 1, but I was getting more pissed by the second once I left the store. The only thing that stopped me from bashing their damn heads through the window of the shop was the fact that I had that pizza in my hand.

I am not joking that those boys might be attracted to you. When I was in middle and high school, I was very much in the closet and tried to fit it despite the fact I was very girlish then. I got bullied a little but did hook up with a male friend of mine several time over the course of a few years who exhibited the same behavior toward openly gay classmates.

It sucks people can be so mean, they are losers with no life otherwise they would pay so much attention to you.

My eyes are watering a bit as I cannot help but some tears start to form.

It is these strong hormones I am sure.  I am 3 weeks on estradiol valerate and micronized progesterone and I cannot help but FEEL for you.

this is an INvoluntary emotional reaction I highly doubt I would have felt 3 weeks ago brfore I started hormones.

We have to help each other with emotional support.

Now I am starting FINALLY to understand how genetic girls feel.  My current genetic gf is very suportive, and I think really appreciate the emergence of Johanna, my true female side. to FELL injustices in my emotionals and heart in a way ti never could before 3 weeks ago.

These are very powerful hormones, and they are DEFINITELY chaning me emotionally (and making my nipples VERY obvious when my shirt is tight).

One day they will be the kind of idiot that hits on you and you brush off.  Time will change the power in the relationship you have with people like that.  Just remember that.

Please consider talking to someone from your school. I work in a school and the administrators there are committed to addressing bullying whenever it happens.

I can't promise they'll do something, but nothing will happen if you don't.

BTW, there is a federal law that requires schools to provide a safe environment and protect you from bullying. If they do not address this, they are in violation of that law.

Hugs, Chic. Being bullied sucks. Please give yourself credit for dealing with a tough situation.
