Title: High school psychologist
Post by: Emily1996 on July 07, 2014, 11:47:13 PM
Hello, so I was wondering if an high school psychologist could write a referral letter to an endocrinologist lol, I mean if it's possible I guess it would be inexpensive for me, would I need my parents to know anything if turn 18? It's just for info, I don't think I will ever ask since it would mean outing myself, which is too hard to do.

i guess if your school psychologist is legally able to and to see an endo i would assume you have to tell your parents if your under 18.

I don't think a HS psychologist would write a referral letter. You are not technically their client. Their relationship to you is more of a "caseworker", making sure you get the services you need. They are not treating you.

You could meet with them and ask about confidentiality when you're 18. If they have to keep everything confidential, you can talk to them and they can't out you to anyone.
