See the interview he says this in at the link above. What do you think? I think it is amazing for a public figure such as him to call out the tragedies of discrimination against the LGBTQ community in our world.
We need more revered religious figures to get up and say that being LGBT is OK.
It's shocking that when same-sex marriage was up for a vote in my state, it was churches that opposed it.
Unfortunately the video was extraordinarily bad quality. The NBC server would only give me a few seconds at a time. I doubt many people will have the patience to listen to it.

I do agree that more religious figures need to be voicing opinions on this topic, as they are influencers of the voters and the representatives who make laws and ultimately can help end discrimination.
