I have a friend who misuses transvestite all of the time. He doesn't mean to, but it seems like he is incapable of saying trans, transgender, or transsexual. I find it incredibly frustrating, so does his wife, and so does he. I just don't understand how it is hard to stop saying such a word that your rarely use in conversation.
Well my second stay in the local psychiatric ward the lead psychiatrist stared her first question on why i was there as
Do you prostitute yourself.
Now that's WTF. Maybe could be a question to ask later but not the first f...en question out of her mouth.
Lets say me and her said very little.
So just because they are in studies does not mean they have a clue.

Oy!
There's that stupid "T" word. :icon_userfriendly:
Dude, the '70s called. They want their term back.

They actually tried to defend the term citing it's historical use as "encompassing all men who dress as women". Telling them that transwomen aren't "men dressed as women" seemed to have no effect.
Ignorami try to write books all of the time. Very few get published, let alone read. If they want to make an ass of themselves, then methinks they might have to learn this the hard way.

Wow. Sounds like they should find another minor and get a job flipping burgers, rather than writing
anywhere.
The only writing they should be doing, is on pad taking burger orders..
Honestly, turnabout is fair play.. When(if) I ever get misgendered, when I would really be trying to present female, I would misgender them right back. Professionals or laypeople alike. Same with my own family, I would. Several of my friends, that know, all GG btw, treat, and gender me correctly. I'm out to my PC, he addresses me correctly, and I am so thankful for that. If you have to correct someone more than twice, they are doing it intentionally and deserve the same respect that are exhibiting.
