Title: Had My First Therapist Appointment Today

Today was my first real meeting with a therapist and it went BRILLIANTLY!! She is so super supportive of me. First thing she asked me when I walked in (and I present as I did in my pic) was "How do you like to be addressed?" and when I told her my name is Heather she said, "Hi, Heather, it's wonderful to meet you."  ;D

She's going to look into what she needs to do to help me start HRT and she's looking a lot into GID as she doesn't specialise in it but has dealt with TS clients before. All in all it was a wonderful first session. I look forward to seeing her again a week from today. **happy dance**

Congrats Heather! As you develop a relationship with the therapist and offload what you have been feeling for all of these years you will feel a wonderful sense of relief, and a wonderful sense of finally taking a giant step that will help you in life. I love the fact that my therapist totally straightened out my mess of a life  8)

Both! Nervous going there but relieved once I got in and the visit went so well. Now I can't wait go back.

OMG I'm so happy for you, I hope everything goes well and that you can start HRT as soon as possible... I'm so terrified of therapy LoL

Well there's plenty of mess to sort through and it feels wonderful to finally tell someone what I've felt for so long.

Thank you. :) I told her that starting HRT as soon as possible is high on my list and she seems agreeable to it. She's going to look into local endos and maybe have something for me next week.
