Nine days ago my therapist emailed my HRT letter to my (hopeful) endo as he requested. My therapist told me that my phone number was on the letter and they would contact me to set up an appointment.
Over the weekend, up to and including Tuesday, we were out of town helping our son move. Yesterday I decided to call and had to leave a message that has not yet been returned.
Please, please, please tell me that this isn't some typical test of resolve which I've failed miserably by waiting a week to call!
I know it's not, but that nagging, fearful voice!...
Hi Dee. Sorry. I can certainly understand the frustration. I fully expect that, even if the endo and her/his staff are concientious people, *your* HRT isn't quite as high on *their* priority list as it, understandably, is on yours.
Just try to be patient. I'd still call every *couple* days until you hear from someone, but try not freak out about it. You *will*get you appointment!
Kim :)
It took about 4 weeks for mine to finally call. They wait was worth it though as my new Endo is fantastic!! The reason it took so long is her office is really busy. :)
I can see that, girls, thank you. I'm feeling a bit better now, anyway. Despite the dysphoria, which I hope will be, at least, reduced by the estrogen, I think I can hold it together another month or so. This guy should be worth the wait as he's the head of endocrinology at a university medical school.
