Week two of estrogen - just can't stop stuffing myself with food. A common problem, or just a total lack of self control on my part?
After all the hard work I put in losing weight prior to HRT, it kills me to think that I'm going to put it all back on in a matter of months. But I also don't particularly want to be on such a strict diet because I want to make sure my body is well-nourished during this time of change.
Any ideas?

I was like this
for me, it passed in a month or so, but yes, I get the OH MY GOD MUST EAT ALL DAY feeling when first on E
I'd say just eat whatever you want, just remember to exercise, because until your levels are in the female range, your fat is likely to be deposited like a male's.

In a month, I'll be twenty pounds heavier. But I don't need much encouragement right now to continue binge eating, so I appreciate the permission to keep on munching. And exercising. Yeah, lots of exercising...
Thanks for confirming my suspicions that this is hormone-related, Hideyoshi.
I can help!
Pass the food.

oh I remember stuffing so much taco bell in me and never being full
I make stir fry... I'd eat so much..
SO GOOD THOUGH
I stopped smoking the same week I started my hrt.. Just the thought caused me to gain like 10lbs!! Lol
I keep snacks in my bag ALWAYS! I've found that if I can eat before I reach the ,"OMG IM STARVING!!" Stage I can better control my portion size at bigger meals. Lots of yogurt bites and almonds for me, they're my fav.
Still acting like a uncontrollable pig, unfortunately...
But the scales don't seem to be creeping upwards much, even though I can see and feel my body becoming chubbier. I still exercise a few times a week to try to keep in average cardio shape, but it seems like adding estrogen into the mix is adding fat to my body while taking away muscle (explaining the weight remaining fairly constant?)
Typical that body composition can change without altering weight?
Makes sense. Muscle is heavier than fat.
Perhaps keep track of how much you eat and burn the same or more calories? an hour or two of the stationary bike would burn just about everything I eat in a day.
