I know it's on the people page but M2F gets a lot more traffic.

I just saw. Quite a few models seem to be transgendered.
Pejic- "I'm transgender."
Jill- "No sh*t."
The comments on the yahoo page are brutal (trigger alert). What a bunch of jealous frustrated chumps.

Rule #1- Don't read the comments.
Rule #2- DON'T READ THE COMMENTS!!!
I find it ironic that these so-called "tough guys" out there have such a pathetically fragile sense of masculinity that is threatened by her mere existence.

Hehe. She admits to taking "puberty blockers". Finally things make a bit more sense.

More like they are threatened by her nearly unattainable beauty. They'll feign disgust for trading sides but probably have wondered for themselves "hmm but what if...", so all the denial and hubris.
"Me thinks thou doth protest too much."
Supreme congratulations to her, her achievements as a model are wonderful and I hope she continues to have a fantastic life irrespective of the path she chooses now. If she chooses greater advocacy as something that makes her happy then I'm confident she'll contribute a great deal based on things thus far. Yay!
A personally relevant thing is that I was about the same age when I searched online for similar things and found relief from trans resources. The critical difference is that I wasn't insightful or strong enough to somehow obtain puberty blockers despite obstacles. Not to mention would have never been anywhere near as beautiful and enviably intelligent. :D
As an aside, I'm a wee bit perturbed by the fact that almost every article I've seen on this demonstrates the annoying habit of presenting GRS as the single transformative procedure that necessarily determines Andreja's womanhood or not to outsider observers. Why can't they just learn what womanhood means rather than resorting to sensationalist and essentialist dross after this long?
Never saw that one coming.......

The Yahoo! News section's notorious for having the most brutal, extremist comments on the entirety of the Interwebz. Most people prolly read them and think, "wow, she's beautiful...goodfor her. If she would do all that, she must really want it and it must be a real thing." I think that'swhat most of the country thinks. I think we're in reality a pretty moderate country. it's just that extremists of all stripes get so angry at any manner of things and can't help but say nasty things. Most are prolly all meh about it. Or supportive. Outside of my family--and some vicious thugs where I used to live that sling heroin and crack, meaning their not class A citizens in general--everyone has been supprtive for the most part. I haven't lost one friend. I dont hang out with them anymore, I talk to two girls I am still friends with, but that has more to do with other issues and me than being trans. I think.
Like Jill said, DON"T READ THECOMMENTS. I nominate Jill to be out resident comedienne and philosopher and general Queen of Common Sense! She da best.
It's just that these extremists want to hijack the conversation in our country and make people think that they are larger in number than they are. They do it so they can mindF**k the country into becoming as hateful as they are by the power of peer pressure.
And there's good news on the extremist front: we're being targeted by the Southern Baptist Church. Apparently, it relaizes itlost the gay marriage debate so it thinks it can target us and gain one victory in it's history of being on the losing side of pretty much every single issue ever. They were formed right before the Civil War to promote morality--the morality of owning slaves. Then when that failed the morality of separate but equal and it's ugly cousin the lynch mob. After that, it opposed women's rights, specifcally the right to vote. Then Civil Rights. Then...Gay marriage and who knows what else. *Disclaimer* I read all this from a blog thatis run by a former minister of their's....so I can't verify but trust it as it seemed legit. If I'm wrong, and there is a member of the SBC here and it's notlike this, please correct me and I will apologize.

True.
It doesn't matter what the story happens to be. If it's on Yahoo, you can be certain that the national douche crew will be there to spew their idiocy.

Oh my word, there's somewhere that's actually
worse than the old Youtube comment system! Thank goodness I've never ventured into Yahoo comments then. :o

That's why I would always disable the comments on any videos that I posted. Not that I ever cared about what people thought about the video one way or another. Just shut your mouth and watch it.
I've seen some Youtube arguments that lasted for literally months. It's like: "Wow, you have nothing better to do?"
Yeah, I congratulated her on her fb page as soon as i heard. I don't have the self control that y'all do, I spent an hour last night responding to the haters.

Don't they just :) I'd always wondered how she had that fabulously feminine complexion, for a start!
I remember one of the very first times I was ever aware of Andrej(a)'s existence - around three years ago, I guess. She'd just hit the headlines for modelling the wedding dress for Jean Paul Gaultier and in all the media mania afterwards she was interviewed for a TV show and someone asked her if she'd ever consider having a sex-change (their phrasing NOT mine!). She said she was perfectly happy as she was, but if anyone ever offered her a Victoria's Secret deal she'd certainly consider it. And I thought, 'So you ARE transitioning!' Because no man who was not already aware of being transgender would ever say such a thing, not even as a joke. Good for her, anyway! She's followed her dream and physically become the woman she already, very obviously was inside.
Very happy for her.
On a great website, Tara's (you can google it), Tara, who years ago had the full SRS, comments to her readers words to the effect of...
"If any of you young girls "got", go for it girl! If you "got it," flaunt it. You only get one time period in your life to be a model."
I am 56 and having great success just 7 weeks into HRT, but I cannot be a model. I kinda wish I hadn't hid my true female self for so long...I kinda wish I had "come out" at age 25, say.
But, that said, it is NEVER too late to find oneself.
Wow, does she look beautiful...more beautiful than many cis-girl models.
Johanna.
You go girl!! Always loved her, now I love her even more :)
