Title: PSP or Nintendo DS?
Post by: Jay on July 30, 2007, 06:19:54 AM
I didn't really know where to put this... however this seemed fine to me at the time..  ???

I am looking for a new portable game station and I was wondering which one to get a PSP or a Nintendo DS? I have played on both and I am still unsure which one to get. I already have an Xbox 360 and a PS2 however I am wanting something portable. Any suggestions?

Get the PSP if you want adult games. I have a DS and all Nintendo makes is baby games...seriously when they come out with games like Catz and Nintendogz and crap like that, Houston we have a problem.... :P

Yeah, it all depends on what kind of games you play. PSP has more adult, more actions-cased games. The DS is aimed at a younger generation and has more simple, relaxed games.

BUT having said that, i have both and my PSP hasn't been charged since god knows when. I love my DS. I can pick it up, play a little and put it down whenever. With the PSP, you really have to have the time to play it. Plus it kinda hurts when you've been playing it for a long time. Ya tend to get cranky thumbs.

I work in the games/console market and i have to admit, the DS's sell a whole lot better than PSP's.

I've used both, and while he graphics on e DS are inferior to the PSP, it still holds its own for originality. As for kiddie games, some of them are fun, but with a port of the original Resident Evil, an original drama/action game Trauma center, and anime courtroom drama (plays a LOT better then it sounds ;) ) I can't see how it can be classified as a kiddie console. Looking a the lineup for the DS it shows more adult and teen games to come shortly. The PSP as far a I can tell is losing ground fast with game developers.

The PSP is nice, but the library of games for the DS includes the DS games and GBA games while letting you carry one of each in the console to play to any time. So the psp may be a portable ps2, but I feel you get more bang for the buck with the DS IMO. *Shrugs* Go to the game store and try 'em out Jaston.
