Title: Introducing Myself
Post by: Green_Gables_fan on July 26, 2014, 07:14:35 PM
Hello there,
My name is Ulysses G, and I have spent about a year living in the closet and out part time. I tried to join a site called Pink Essence, but it seems that it takes a very long time for moderators to approve you, and as of now I have not received any e-mails from them letting me know I am approved. I have looked at other web sites like Transgender Beauty. Still, I felt that the things I was seeking for were not there, so I came back here after doing a few internet searches to see if I could learn if there was any way for me to get more information, or put my own say out there so as to hopefully get support.
A lot of what I do can be found on my blog, which you can view by going to my profile, but just in case it doesn't, it's http://www.sensationexperience.com/
I am twenty years old, five foot-three inches, born male, although I'm wondering if due to my low hormones, I only have one protruding pec on the right side, mild gynaecomastia, my voice did deepen, but my larynx did not expand. The result is that, if I wanted to sound male, I would have to willingly expand my larynx to add more resonance while dropping down my vocal range. I possess more of an androgynous appearance, though my facial hair, facial structure, etc makes me seen as male. However, after spending roughly one year looking at what people did to transition, I decided that, because I am primarily interested in naturopathic medicine and I would like to give back to the world, and not be your average TG, I wanted to see how much of this I could do myself. Needless to say that self-surgeries are impossible, and many people have done it, but it seems kind of risky if you can't really see what you are doing, but at the same time, I want to show the world that I am not just one more person trying to live their life. That's why I started Sensation Experience. It's a way to focus on how we can get people to veer into another person's point of view, and hopefully bring the day that it will happen via use of mind uploading to reality. People would be less mad and more aware if they could just experience that other person, because who knows? If they had a chance to live in another person's body for a day, they could really learn a lot than if they just used textbooks or some other form of aide.
Also, I have a diary. I believe that keeping a diary is very important, because it allows you to analyse events that you have undergone, and what emotions you felt and how you interpreted them with language. I eventually decided I was going to be one of those holistic and integrated people who looked at things from a broad perspective and not just my own. I wanted to learn why cultures existed and how they worked the way they did. That's how I became interested in anthropology.
Then, I heard about a new type of philosophy. It's known as transhumanism. Although as a naturopathic advocate, I am completely opposed to being a cyborg, nor do I believe that we should be put into machines. I believe that there are ways to use nature's resources to replenish us and restore our body to its healthy state. For this reason, I don't take hormones, only if it is a supplement, which becomes a precursor that gets converted into those hormones, like beer ingredients. For another, I don't intend on having any form of artificial plastic surgery because it will hold no true function whatsoever. If you look at my most recent post, which I had written a few hours before, I discussed some methods people are using to regenerate modified adult cells.
Anyhow, this is how I came to be, and one more thing. I didn't consider myself to be TG or that I was somewhat effeminate because I primarily lived with my mother until I heard about a brain transplant. I had a dream that my brain was transplanted into a female's body, and her brain was transplanted into my old body, so that we had this kind of swap. Now, there has been little success with partial and total brain transplants, because of the way you have to align each muscle group so that you don't end up having counterintuitive movements.
In December of 2013, I started writing my first fifty thousand-word novel which uses a little of the stuff I talked about to sort of challenge science fiction, to encourage the reader to strive, and to bring hope that some day, the things that we consider to be sci-fi right now may one day be in our future, and if we can choose to live immortally by using natural remedies, then we can experience our dreams as a reality. I could also hopefully enter my novel into NaNoWriMo this November and see if it wins.
Things not relating to TG that I'm also interested in includes, swimming and turning somersalts under water, learning the human anatomy and physiology of the motion systems, using synaesthesia to teach people to hear colours as sounds, and I am an avid Western-music lover. I have a Mason and Hamlin circa-1872 pump organ, which I use to play my favourite Christmas carols. Along with that, I have a few other instruments, my next favourite being the flute, then the clarinet, and the trumpet. I also enjoy NASA and flying in general.
So yeah, that's pretty much about me, and as to what Green Gables fan means, I love the book and movie Anne of Green Gables. She's such an optimist and I love her character and I loved the book so much that I still keep it on my computer today. I know there are two more books that succeed Anne of Green Gables, one of which is Anne's House of Dreams, but I don't know what the other one is. I don't read too much high fantasy from either the future or past, since I'm more of a realist and sometimes I find fantasy a little bit of a nonsense. I don't know. I just never got around to reading things like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, etc. I also don't read a lot of science fiction, especially those that deal with aliens and time travel because again, those tend to be a little too exaggerating. People aren't able to distinguish fact from fiction these days, because of ignorance and stupidity. I believe that there are books that can stimulate either your intellect or your emotions, which are two out of the three components that defines personality, the latter being identity or what we know. We can read books that gives us positive emotional stimuli, but it won't give us any intellectual response, and vice versa. That's why I try to write books that tend to stimulate a little bit of both.
Finally, I can't be omniscient, but I believe that if you know a little of everything, you will be aware of everything than if you only knew a lot of just one thing, like too much science, too much technology, etc. I always encourage anyone to have an open mind.
Anyhow, feel free to ask questions, and if you ever want to talk privately, feel free.
