Title: Cortizone 10 to stop beard hair growth?
Post by: Amy1988 on July 27, 2014, 04:31:28 PM
Ok just to let everyone know this is strictly hypothetical based on my own experience.  While I don't grow facial hair I do have pubic hair and I have been treating a very itchy patch in the pubic area with cortisone 10 maximum strength cream.  I started noticing that the area I was treating began to lose hair and now after months of treatment there is almost no hair in that area and no sign of any new growth.  There is just a little bald spot where hair use to be.  Could this be a remedy to stop facial hair growth? Has anyone else experienced anything like this with cortisone?

Hmm. They use cortisone shots to help hair growth but also hair loss with injections in the back.

So I would say that I would not risk it.

Sorry, it is an anti inflammatory. I does not stop hair growth.

I wonder why it stopped the hair from growing in the area I was treating?  Bear in mind that I used it everyday until the tube was empty.

The Cortisone could have limited the blood flow to the area temporarily (anti inflammatory affect). The hair will return.  :)
