:angel: Hi there everyone~! Well guess what? I took my first pill of estrogen tonight (been on Spiro for 3 weeks now also) and the world did not end!
No evil came looking for me, God did not strike me down with a thunderbolt. Nor did any harm come my way. In fact It seems like angels are singing to me at least.
Oh sure theres that mental fear that comes from family and friends and some lingering doubts. But I have a decent amount of people at church and also at one support group giving me the lift I need. Also taking Lithium now and Celexa to deal with my Bi polar Issues and its working well too. Right now i feel my blood rushing a little. Kinda a warm feeling and some sort of slight tingle in my brain. Not sure what to expect, if anything the first day.
What i do know is I am journeying to the more female side of the spectrum even though I am two spirited and genderfluid of course. On top of this i am eating better and exercising more and now have a part time job. The other good news my medicines with copay only come to $6 every refill and thats for everything. I can put my money towards laser hair removal soon and other various feminine treatments.
So Happy to at least be trying estrogen!

What can I expect in the first week. What have you all felt or thought?
well, for me, a certain calmness crept up on me, the dysphoria began to dissipate and my mood started moving from darkness into light. Life became a whole lot more tolerable :)
Basically what EllieM said. The mental effects are usually quick and physical changes are a lot slower. Expect mental calmness and serenity and a sense of well being.

Well I don't know whether there was a placebo effect but I just felt so centred, more connected, more empathetic and more 'right'. All I can say is that the juice is powerful and every E receptor in your brain will be thanking you for this.
Almost forgot to mention improved sensitivity, sense of smell and thereafter seeing shiny more lustrous hair, smoother skin, smaller pores, etc etc All very good indeed.

First week you will feel so happy, hard to explain and you might feel something going on with your girls.
I was surprised at just how quickly things got started. Give it some time and wow. :)

Calmness is what i noticed first. The rest comes with time, but YMMV, so don't take everything that others say as exactly what and when it will happen.
I started spiro 3 days before estrogen, my first week was a bit tiring but nothing major. That went away quickly though.
Breasts/nipples became sensitive after about a week (do not bump into things or let pets jump on you... As string or foul language will follow for sure)
Other changes noted: skin smoother, sweat dont stink like it used to, some face changes(nothing major, but i notice it when looking in the mirror), body hair seems to be growing much slower exept for under my arms...
Breasts are quite noticable to me, when looking down, but i am built rather large, so its not that obvious to others,,, except when wearing a tight light colored top...
