Just a quick note as I'm typing this on a smartphone (please excuse the typos)..
Well I just took a really big step last night (well it felt like it too me lol) and came out to the first person I know really well. I've been on hrt for about two months now, but I'm a very private person and I'm also currently working rather away from pretty much everyone I know, so that's made talking to people about things a little hard.. However my appearance is changing and I'm having FFS in October, so that will kinda force the issue lol, also just the desire to share with others who know me is getting rather heavy..
So when one of my closest friends came down to the town I'm currently working in for second semester at uni I took my chance after a really fun day and a nice meal out... Aaaaaaand,
Honestly, I can not believe how well it went.. :) She was more than just understanding and supportive, she was super excited and so happy for me, I'm just so blown away! She really is the most amazing wee person, I'm so lucky!! It definitely helps that she's a biochemist and doing post grad pharmacology, we have a lot to talk about on the medical side which is cool, but just the general awesomeness too, omg.
Anyway I'm still struggling to believe how lucky I am to have her in my life. I am just floating :)
I must also thank you all for helping me gain the confidence to do this, all of your stories and experiences are so inspiring and have meant so much, thankyou!
Congrats sweetie!! I am glad we could help in some small way. :)
Great news. Clearly you have good taste in friends. Hope the rest go as well.

So glad you have a supportive friend. They really do help, coming out to one of my closest friends and her reaction helped me decide to walk this path towards being the real me. Hopefully more friends are as accepting as she is, as at least for me I've found a large support group I didn't know I was going to have (even larger if you consider everyone here). It's those moments when you know you picked the right friends and love them even more. :)
Aww thanks, I am rather lucky I must say : )
Sorry, I wanted to reply sooner but I left my laptop at her place lol. We've had some interesting and deep chats since, we have always been close but this has really bought us closer than ever, its so great : ) She's also been great with helping to work out what to do about telling our other friends, she's even given me a bunch of clothes that she thinks will look great on me lol. Plus bunches of awesome hugs. It turned out it was great timing and compensates for what happened yesterday.. please refer to my "Well had my first anti-trans/bathroom incident.." thread...
