Well, not really an actual purse, but its pretty close. I have a Kelty Jaunt, which has a shoulder strap, its a small day pack and I don't know how I lived without it! Since I am still not ready to transition (I'm working on my weight, down 25 and 25lbs more to go! and finding a therapist) I can't really go with an actual purse yet. Using this pack though does help a lot with dysphoria, at least for me. Even if no one else looks at it as a purse, I do. And the things I can carry in it! All of the stuff I used to stuff in my pockets, cell phone, wallet, keys, random things goes in there and gets lost! I have room for all those things I could never fit in my pockets too, like my phone charger, aspirin, tea bags (love my organic Earl Gray!) protein powder for a quick snack, nail file, and so much more. Has anyone else felt this or am I just being a bit silly over something simple?
I don't know if I can post a pic of it, but I will post a link to a picture and if I need to remove it I will. I'm not sure on the rule on that.

FYI: Gyazo is a screen capture site which I use quite regularly with my online gaming. Its safe.
Personally I still love messenger bags. Idk what others say about them.. I can keep everything a woman usually has in her purse, plus a laptop and still have room in it for a midget lol.
I remember the day I discovered purses, it was like all these little lightbulbs went off above my head. And I remember my friend saying to me "I can't wait to see what ends up going in there, now you've gotta figure out what to take with you".
And boy was she right, and holy crap how it has evolved. Purses are amazing things. Pockets are neat, too... But purses are the ultimate personal cargo device imo :D
Haha, I know right? Purses are pretty amazing. :)
I think, for me, the absolute best part is NOT having a stupid wallet sitting in my back pocket anymore! I really hate the feeling of sitting on a rock all the time.
Plus, yeah, you can carry EVERYTHING in there! ;)
I have to agree. When I transitioned I realised what a wonderful invention purses are. Truly, they're up there with pretty shoes in terms of the brilliant dual role they perform.
Before I transitioned I used to use a small elegant man-bag from time to time, as they're great in the city when you're on metro transport and walking a lot. Never liked backpack urgh.
BUT NOTHING BEATS A CUTE HANDBAG!!! :D (* that's a "purse" in American ;) )
So very true men are just complainers lol
I hate packing a purse. Lol. I lost a few before i started just putting my credit card and id in my bra. I guess 40 years without one was too long?? Idk?
I have a laptop/messenger bag that I carry like a purse with the strap on my right shoulder instead on my left with the strap accross my chest like most guys do. It definitely helps with dysphoria.
Last week I was at the dentist and the dental assistant told me that I could put my purse on the chair. She hesitated for a moment before correcting herself. I think she was trying to figure out if I'd react negatively to her calling my bag a purse. Either way it was nice to hear. :)
THe purse is a wonderful thing, I have no idea i lived without one.
Woman clothes dont always have the pocket space mens clothes do.. but who cares.. I got my purse...
I have found purses to be handy, though when mixed with the loss of pocket space in guy pants, it still requires a decent sized purse to make up for it ( it seems.) I have, however enjoyed them during the movies (to sneak snacks in) and amusement parks, great for carrying sunscreen and maps and stuff. Overall I'd still enjoy them but i miss pockets.
I carry one most of the time. Is it me or do space reqirements make it neccessary keep going larger? My wife knows I keep about everything in mine so I'm always digging out makeup, hairpieces, clippers, excedrin etc. so I'M almost have to carry one lol
More photos of your purses please. And what's in them! ;D

I still haven't got over the psychological aspect of putting my keys in there yet, everything else goes in there. Eggs and a basket springs to mind.
I don't really know how I lived before owning a purse!
Purses are so great. All my life, women have complained about not having pockets. Ha! I can carry a kitchen sink with me now! The trick is keeping it organized.
Haha, I sometimes think of my laptop bag as a purse. It would be nice to have the real thing with me, since I don't take my laptop everywhere I go. I'd like to take more things with me and I really hate having my wallet in my pocket.
Joy and love of purses. I've got a thing for them. Okay a fetish. Along with shoes. Brand name, no name, leather, cloth, etc. In some circles, purses equate to 'power'. Like a power color or power blouse. When I carry one of my designer bags, they literally open doors when noticed and depending I'm where I am going, I will use my purse and/or clothes to my advantage. One thing I have noticed and this is true for other women as well... the designer Brahmin -- these bags will get noticed by men and are conversation starters if the whim strikes you because they almost always want to touch it. I think they like the alligator look to these handbags and they are among my favorite purse designer. The Louis Vuittons are noticed exclusively by other women.
I hope no one talks about shoes because I could go on forever then ;-)
Since I present andro and usually dressed casual I wear this small Fossil leather tablet bag. Don't use it much, only when going on extended outings or if I really need extra cargo capacity...
Inside just some basic city survival tools (small swimmers goggles, Respro sub-micron city dust mask, surgical gloves, storm whistle, back up medications, bright compact flashlight), a pack of gum, floss picks, eyeliner, earbuds, maybe my keys.

Evelyn dear, it sounds like you live in Gotham City :D So where do you live - it sounds awfully scary compared to Madrid? :o
My essentials include a fold-away hairbrush, tissues, lip-gloss and earbuds (to patch up eye makeup.) I'm sure winter will bring along a whole different range of things.
You nailed it on the 1st guess! ;D
I'm trying to post a pic of the bag my wife had custom made for me for my birthday, but can't figure out how. Its a gray background print with Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Firefly references all over it. I was custom made by Brooke Van Gory Designs. Its on her FB page from March. This is the link for the picture (I hope! :icon_nervious:): https://www.facebook.com/Brookevangorydesigns/photos/t.506435835/10153942496345632/?type=1&theater (https://www.facebook.com/Brookevangorydesigns/photos/t.506435835/10153942496345632/?type=1&theater)
I love it! Though there are days I wish it was bigger, lol.
Nope i am not going to post...
Nope.
Grrrr my weakness is Vera Bradly. OMG. but now i live in Montreal and they are not here thank goodness.
But Love, love, love them
Anyway enough of my fetish.
I'm so excited about being able to stick with a purse full time. After I come out at work that will be it. Its so much better than pockets.
I honestly can not comprehend how anyone can live without a purse. It is the greatest thing in the history of ever. I love my purse.
I thought I could remain with just a black cross body travel bag until I saw this from JumpFromPaper (https://www.jumpfrompaper.com)
WANT.

Did the link not work? I don't have/never been on imgur.
I could have one the size of a VW Beetle and still need a bigger one! ::)

You have to right-click view image and link that file so the url would look like:

Dang it! still can't make it work! Grrrrr..... Am I just deficient in this area? Why won't it work?!?!? oh, well. I guess the only other way to view it is to visit Broke Van Gory Designs on facebook, and look back in March/April of this year. This is uber frustrating and disappointing. :eusa_wall: :icon_help:
