Title: "Basic Silicone STP"
Post by: BrotherBen on August 12, 2014, 08:16:15 PM
Do any of you guys use the cheap "Basic Silicone STP" sold on Packer Locker/TranzWear? I'm reluctant to spend any more than $20 on something I don't plan to use every day, and realism (or lack thereof) doesn't bother me, so I'm mainly wondering- does it get the job done? Any major functional flaws? And can it be worn without a harness, just half in/half out the slit in my boxer briefs? I hate to think of adding a harness on top of all the stuff I already have to fuss with. I don't see the weight listed on either site. Thanks guys!

I guess if no one else has tried it, I'll just go ahead and give it a shot.

Never owned one of these before, but they seem to have a similar receptacle to the TSW Custom Packers.. but maybe that's just me (?). Either way, please do share with us a review of yours if you're feeling up to it once you receive your product. :)

Packer Locker brought TSWs stock I believe.

I just received the the TKW medicine spoon Mr. Limpy packer.

*edit* woops forgot you're not looking at the realistic aspect.

It gets the job done much better than my peecock, which has a similar design to that "Basic Slicone STP." Also my silicone packer would always feel like a ball of semi-hard plastic in my pants. . . not to mention I could never get the STP part of it to work well for me. Long story short, I would spend a few bucks more for the Mr. Limpy STP.

They apparently just shipped it yesterday, still waiting! I'm excited, it'll be my first... um... public-appropriate penis. Like, the only one that isn't a Feeldoe. LOL.

All right! I made a youtube review but I know not everyone wants to listen to 5 minutes of my nervous rambling, so I'll make some remarks here too:

Look: It's not really supposed to be realistic, and it definitely isn't. It's basically a vaguely phallic tube attached to a little trough. And it's SO SMALL. I had read the dimensions but was still surprised by just how small it is. If I were going to order another, I'd definitely choose the large, firm version and not the small, soft one. The cut edges are a little rough but not too bad. There was a weird defect near the tip- something was embedded, it looked like a little string (maybe 1.5cm long) but when i picked it out, it was just white... stuff.

Feel: It's very pliable and squishy- I feel like if I tried, I could rip it apart with my bare hands. It was VERY tacky or sticky out of the box, but seems to be getting a little less tacky as I use and wash it.

Function: I haven't had much luck with it, but I think I just fail at STP. This is the first STP device I've tried, and I'll keep practising (and showering) and see if i can get it right.

Thanks for sharing that, Ben.  The video made me laugh a few times.  :)

Great review.  Thank you, Ben.  I was wondering about this product as well, and seeing it on video is really helpful.

Thanks for the review Ben.  I bought the large, also soft and can echo just about everything from your review.  I decided on the large for the slightly bigger trough.  For me, a small guy, the shaft on the large is ridiculously long!  But my biggest issues with it are the trough and the texture.

When I pulled it out of the baggie, it was very sticky.  I immediately treated it to some corn starch and that did help, but as Ben mentioned it is very porous.  My trough, on the large size is not formed for successful use as an STP!  Size wise, for me as a small guy, the trough is great - BUT the bottom is completely flat - no slope towards the shaft hole at all. Therefore, it is next to impossible to  hold it any anywhere close to a normal position and get things to flow.  I also found it is impossible to completely empty without turning it upside down.

In attempt at full disclosure, I only tried the Basic twice as I could not see a way to overcome the trough issues.  Also, just before this arrived my TSW Custom Boa STP arrived from a different order (found it on clearance and could not resist)! As it turns out, I'm glad I did. There is no comparison in the texture of the basic and the Boa.  Also, the trough on the Boa IS built with a slant toward the shaft.  The Boa is not sticky and feels much closer to real than the basic (my Boa is also soft).  I have not yet mastered using the Boa to the point I can use it outside the house, but at least I can see where it might be possible with -the Boa, not the basic.

With my Boa, I have had a few successful attempts, but probably more fails than successes (I've only had it for a week).  Before my Boa I used a SheWee with about a 99.9% success rate but zero success packing it comfortably LOL
