as an avid forumer, i used the like or thanks button gratuitously. ive been here a few days and have already found dozens of occasions where i want to use it!! we have the facebook like button but many are not out on facebook and there's no button for individual posts.
any reason we don't have this feature?
In the column to the left of the post, under the line that says "reputation" there is a green button with a "thumbs up." This gives positive reputation - that is not the same as a "like" button, but it gets the point accross.
You may have to have a minimum number of posts before you can use this. The intent is to use this rather sparingly (and really stay away from the thumbs down button beside it).

We do have a like button, it is a written like button.
If you like a post you add your comment. Same if you have issues
We are more about the personal support over just clicking a like button.
There is also the reputation buttons but they are only to be used for great posts etc.
hmm yeah i thought i might not have enough posts to use it. well, where i come from we use it a lot more often. ill try not to use it too much. thanks!
You have to have 50 posts for the little green and red buttons to appear under someone's username to either give them +1 or -1 reputation.
Yep, 50 posts required first. Introduced since some new folk were abusing the dislike/smite/-1 aspect.
