Is there any medication that gets rid of erections? Not random ones, I'm talking about the ones you get when you're aroused. I know it's a bit of a roulette as some people lose their erections as soon as their TST levels drop, but it didn't happen to me. Is there any medication that is proven to significantly lower the change of getting an erection?
TMI & so mortifying but hey ho.
Hon, you want to stop them completely? Or just the morning.. um.. "systems check"" Mine stopped after the 2nd or third spiro pill I took.. If I .. uh.. "need too" I can call it up, but it goes away just as quickly .. um.. after.. now on spiro for 3 months, and there is zero chance of me being embarrassed at an inopportune time. It takes quite a bit now to work it. You wrote you were still being plagued by this even after your T dropping.. what did it drop to, if I may ask? "normal" range is.. 347-1190-something.. mine was down to 230 at last check in May, and I'm doing fine. What were you on and for how long? If you were herbals, like AndroEase, well, that specifically didn't work for me either.. in fact, they happened more often. Once I switched to spiro.. whew! finally, relief! @.@
Your not kidding girlfriend!! All hail Spiro!!! :eusa_pray:
How? Sprinkle on the magic pixie dust and wait. After a month of hrt I was like "erection? what's that?"

Yep. The dreaded thing has been rendered mostly inoperable by estrogen and spiro although with a lot of mental work (which I rarely do) it can still show some signs of life. Morning wood has long since become a thing of the past.

Post op I plan to find out what one is!! *giggle* ;D ;D ;D ;D
Whats an erection???
Spiro took care of it very quickly for me...
I can get sort of a bit of one if I REALLY try, but I might try once in a while, just to see what comes out...
But morning and spontaneous erections are long gone.
I must had some sort of a start on things with the herbals as two low dose pills and it. just wasn't there anymore..
Yes srs could help ;-)

A year on Spiro did nothing to lessen the frequency of my ex's erections, so it doesn't work like that for everyone, unfortunately, but it does seem to work for many, as evidenced by the replies so far in this thread.

I mean, why get a new car if you aren't going to drive it? ;D ;D
with any new car - Don't forget to polish regularly... And use air fresh freshner.
Throughout my HRT it was possible to summon up... And perhaps two night fl->-bleeped-<-oles where body was in control. after stopping HRT before SRS even voluntary became difficult. Now four weeks post op I don't miss anything.

Yeah, sam here. I've been on spiro since sep 12, added prostap a month ago, still, the problem is there.
My TST was 0.6 (don't know what scale they use in UK though) on spiro, and now it should be even less after adding prostap.
My doctor said the erections would stop after adding prostap but nothing happened. Is there any other TST blocker on this earth? :o I think I've tried all of them. I tried, Spiro, Prostap...
thanks girls for all the replies:)
Mod/dosage removal.
Testosterone is no the be all and end all of erections.. Or libido, for that matter.
If you've been on HRT for a while and it still works, chances are, it's going to keep working - unless you want to go digging around in your brain with a spoon..
I had my T tanked via bilateral orchiectomy last month. Guess what? It still works. The thing is that I control my libido now, it does not control me.
Took about 2-3 weeks of Cypro for me and no more wood, still have a sex drive but even when I'm aroused there is no life there.
The only way to stop them.
GET RID OF IT
No more erections
Unless others know things that I don't know.
CUT CUT CUT of course get a vagina at the same time
Well you say that they are erections you get when you are aroused. What is arousing you? I'm not being facetious here but to quote Homer Simpson... "Think unsexy thoughts! Think unsexy thoughts!" Whatever is on your mind would seem to be the cause of it, the "dude" is only doing what it's programmed to do in such cases so maybe find other things to think about...?
What was the Austin Powers line?
"Margaret Thatcher in a cold shower, Margaret Thatcher in a cold shower! " something like that.. but how exactly do you not think about something specific? Cant be done =)
It's gonna be hard to control my mind lol, but this problem really pushes me to maybe do my SRS first rather than other surgeries.. We'llsee.
Thanks for your input girls:)
I like sex feelings so I've kept mine alive after 2 years. I'd say to 'get rid' of them you'd just have to stop using it. When i stopped for like 1-2 weeks straight, I started to get bad pains during erections, though.

Just to clarify. Goserelin acetate is not an androgen blocker (like bicalutamide or even cyproterone acetate), it ONLY reduces androgen production by testicles. It's important to make this distinction, I think.
