Title: Inappropriate smites
Post by: Cindy on August 23, 2014, 06:19:23 PM
Think carefully when giving smites.

If they are inappropriate I shall remove them and the person smiting will have the smite reversed to them and doubled

well, just so you know, if I ever get inappropriately smited, you can leave it.

I'm actually looking forward to my first smite. Weird, huh?

But I find it hard to be mean, so I'm just not holding back on my thoughts anymore in hopes of earning someone's wrath without being intentionally mean.

Examples of inappropriate smites...

Smites should be used sparingly and only when someone is being rude, offensive and/or unsupportive.

Well, I really can't bring myself to smite anyone. I respect everyone' opinions whether or not I agree with it. And if someone says something I may not like, it may be just what I need to hear.

I would never give a smite. Ii think any negative judgments should be left to a consensus of the moderators. Then after a period of time say 24 hrs. or a week the slate should be wiped clean .positives should be unaffected. Just my humble opinion.

I have never felt the need to smite anyone and in fact I am kind of afraid of using that feature lest it get me in trouble.

If someone is acting inappropriately it will all come out in the wash eventually. The mods handle that situation quite well.

I tried with all my might to smite thee (just to be agreeable), but I couldn't do it!  I kept remembering that someone once said (was it Cindy?), "I shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish... [TWICE!]"

And as my finger hovered over the button, and I attempted to smite thee, my eyeballs began to sweat and the hair on the back of my neck stood straight up and I feared I might pass out.

I'm so sorry, Jaime R D...  I failed thee.   :embarrassed:

This was started by Cindy as informational.

It was turning into a battle of words.

Please keep comments on the topic as it applies to the forum.

Thanks you.

A word of advice:

Thou shall not smite a moderator in public. But send them a PM to them explaining your position, they will hear you out
