Is it necessary to to take E everyday? I was thinking of taking weekend breaks. Like say Monday through Friday on E and Saturday and Sunday off.
Why would you do that though?
Certain things surrounding hormones don't just flip on or off by skipping weekend doses and will instead just reduce the impact, and you don't want to lose/diminish the benefits you are trying to gain. As the same time, there are effects will hormones that may rise/fall more quickly, so you can't necessarily up your dose the rest of the week to compensate.
Ask your doctor/endo, but you will need to give your reasons "why." Even if what you want to do is possible, there may be another approach that addresses your reasons better.

Because E has such a long half-life I suspect that my levels get really high and my right leg starts to ache.
I thought the half-life was less than 17 hours?
Edit: 13-17 hours according to Wikipedia.
I think it would be better to talk to your doctor about your leg than to take a break from E.
Any and all questions dealing with adjusting your dosages or times of dosages should always be done with your doctor.
There has to be a reason they prescribed it to be taken everyday.
If you have any side effects that are unwanted then you need to talk with your doctor ASAP. Or if they get worst visit a local clinic or the ER.

That is a really bad idea. Don't do it.

I won't. It was just a thought.
