Title: Natural Disaster Named Puberty
Post by: iiMTF on August 27, 2014, 08:30:17 PM
WARNING: May be graphic.. but nothing we havent all seen.

Well, I wanted to ask for help involving puberty... and I got a bit creative! Here we go

NEWS NEWS NEWS
Recent reports of a new natural disaster never seen before. It has been called "the worst thing to happen to this body since birth". President Brain has officially named this natural disaster "Puberty"

Puberty has been mainly messing things up in the area between Senators Left Leg and Right Leg. It has also been causing odd things to happen in the area that citizens have been calling "Erections".

Nobody seems to know what is causing Puberty to happen, or what it will do next. President Brain and Vice President Heart have been discussing ideas on how to stop Puberty before something bad happens, and have been seeking another body's President Brain for help, preferably a Gender Therapist Brain or Doctor Brain. This is Big Mouth, reporting for NEWS NEWS NEWS, and we'll let you know more as the case progresses.

So, after that little skit I put together, any advice? Im trying to get an appointment with a gender therapist, but I cannot seem to find one.

:D

You're absolutely adorable! That made me laugh, hehe.

As for advice, I don't think I'll be much help since I lack first hand experience. I know I've seen several people suggest looking for local gender therapists through the Psychology Today website ( http://www.psychologytoday.com/ ).

Wow. I found one that deals with LGB but not T XD

I can't seem to find any gender therapists in this list, but I've still got a lot of them to go over...

I've found a few gender therapists in my area now... Only one of them deals with my age, though. I'll look into it more <3

If it turns out he doesn't, maybe he can at least recommend someone else.

Uh oh!! He responded. He said he does work with transsexuals of my age range but he also said "However, physicians in the area seem to be unwilling to provide HRT for patients under 18"

I'm not sure how to handle that.. Help!!

Can you at least get on blockers?

Did you ask about puberty blockers (GnRH agonists)? I know that in many areas doctors will not prescribe hormone therapy to people under 18, but they should at least allow you to take something to halt puberty so that testosterone doesn't have a chance to do any damage while you wait until you can start estrogen. I know it's not exactly ideal, but it should make sure you at least have a very good starting place when you are finally able to start taking estrogen.
