So today I decided I would dress a bit more on the fem side than usual. I wore a nice red low cut top and a pair of girl jeans (fits better than guy jeans lol). I didn't think my daughter (4 years old) would notice but she looked at me funny, then smiled, and it went like this:
"Daddy, I like your red, your red... shirt"
Me: "Thank you honey. I like it too."
"Daddy, you're beautiful."
I stopped cold. I couldn't believe those words came out of her mouth. Her mom specifically told her and her siblings that boys are handsome and girls are beautiful. She has never told me anything like this before even when I wear things like suits and ties.
Me: "Thank you dear, you're beautiful too. I love your pretty dress."
She smiled and then hugged me and we sat on the sofa together while she used her ipad.
I have tears in my eyes, that was beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Ahhhh! So cute.
Hugs

Don't you know it! Her vocabulary is expanding by the day and she is extremely intelligent from what I see.
That's so sweet.. You have a really sweet and intelligent daughter.. So happy for you right now.. Hugs..
That is so wonderful!!! If you haven't already give her lots of hugs for us! :)
Kids really understand what happens around them, it is amazing how a four year old is able to absorb and understand this type of things.
My daughter is four as well and she has seen my full transition, I get surprise by her actions and comments everyday.
People think they are too young to understand this type of changes, they are totally wrong, kids are able to understand and accept at an early age.
I am really happy for you and your daughter.
This is a very wonderful story. It must make you feel so, so good! As it should.
Yes, kids do show such understanding and basic human wisdom. Your daughter is also showing love which can overcome just about anything else in the world. The simplicity and wonder of unconditional love is something I wish all society could grasp.
Hugs.
