Post by: LuluLulu on September 08, 2014, 09:05:02 PM
I have my first appointment coming up soon I have been emailing with her she knows how strongly I feel about what gender I identify with and that I want to start HRT as soon as I can because im 25 and I just went back to school and want to be full time before I finish my degree so nobody will not my past unless I feel they need to .. So I just hope she doesn't make me go through like $2,000 just to get hormones

Try not to rush your therapist, they are train to read people, they also need to make 100% sure that you are really a transgender woman before you can start hormones.

Remember, is her license the one in the line, if she mades a mistake it will look bad on her.

The therapy is also good for you, it will help you discover a lot of things about you while talking to her.

Good luck!

I know it's her on the line and I think she will be able to get a get understanding in the first visit I just don't want to spend money I don't have to $100 /hr is a lot and she said she will give me forms to fill out for my insurance to reimburse me and I did look Independence does cover GID and SRS and other Transgender issues if recommended by various health professionals.
